Quiet and close to Papagayo

Greie leiligheter med 2 soverom og 2 bad - noe slitt (løse fliser). Stille og fint område. God plass rundt et basseng som ikke er oppvarmet. Kort gåtur til Papagayostrendene og butikker. Også mulig å gå turer i fjellet bakenfor.

Just fantastic...

Absolutely fantastic bungalows. In an amazing location, we opted for a Jacuzzi plus, I recommend highly. The facilities within the bungalows are 1st class, with everything you need for self-catering. A stone throw away from the beautiful coast and walks, well stocked supermarket, restaurants and bar also near. Will definitely be coming back !

Relaxing stay

We stayed at the beginning of September for one week. We booked our holiday through Thomas Cook flying from Glasgow Prestwick Airport. All went well and we arrived not long after 7.30pm. We had chosen a shuttle transfer through Thomas Cook, with Holiday Taxis - what a mistake! We waited almost an hour on other people at the airport, then dropped off at so many hotels we lost count - eventually arriving at the bungalows at 9.45pm!! Next time we will take a taxi. The lovely receptionist asked us if we needed anything at the nearby supermarket as it was closing at 10pm. She then took us very quickly through the grounds and across the road to the supermarket, opening and locking the gates as we went. She then waited on us and took us back to our bungalow then checked us in. We would never have found our way on our own in time - thank you so much (I forget her name - Katerine maybe - she was from Germany). You wouldn't get such personal service at a 5 star resort! The bungalows were spotlessly clean and very spacious. We had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a large outdoor terrace at the back of the bungalow. One of the bedrooms had a door opening onto the terrace. We were steps away from the swimming pool and we were lucky to have a comfortable Bali bed all to ourselves! In fact we had the pool area to ourselves most of the time - it felt like our own private villa! There was also a Jacuzzi and a small children's pool. A couple of things that would have made our stay a bit easier would have been a chopping board and a large sharp knife - the one we had couldn't cut a tomato! The location was excellent, if you don't mind a walk to dinner - 5 minutes to the promenade and beach then about 15 mins to Marina Rubicon. There was also a couple of bars and restaurants across the road beside the supermarket. We had some drinks there but didn't have food. Playa Blanca is a lovely quiet resort with some very nice restaurants. We look forward to coming back again and will definitely return to these lovely bungalows.

Stunning accommodation

We stayed here for 2 weeks (July 22) and had an amazing time. The bungalow was spotless and had all the essentials. The staff was helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. The cleaning lady was brilliant. We chose the Bali bed which was a lovely addition to the holiday. The pool area was quiet and never too busy. The location was perfect only a 15 minute walk from the marina with plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from. We will be returning!!!

Lovely and quiet

Lovely hotel. Great communication before we arrived and arranged taxi transfer for us. We were greeted on arrival and shown our room. You can change towels daily and use at the beach. We had an issue with the aircon and it was fixed straight away. There aren’t many apartments we could find with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and air conditioning in both rooms! The second bedroom is a sofa bed but my daughter said it was comfy. Outside area was huge - sea view room lovely which includes the safe and bath robes which is nice. There’s doors in the lounge and both bedrooms going out onto the patio. Washing liquid/sponge/tea towels provided. Microwave but no oven. It’s so quiet so no late night Shouty people walking past! You could hear a pin drop at night! There are gates around the complex that you have to open with a key. Good for security but does take some getting used and you need to remember your key if you pop out! Some do get stuck which got a bit annoying when you’re carrying stuff. The pool area is lovely - so quiet we were the only ones there sometimes! Don’t think I’ve ever had that in summer before! No one left towels out, even if going back to room for a bit. How refreshing! It was a shame the pool didn’t get cleaned while we were there (not that we saw). The water seemed clean but there was sand and dirt at the bottom that was not from one day - it was there all week which was a shame as it just needed a bit of a hoover. There was no soap in the toilets at the pool. The area itself is lovely - quiet beach about 5-10 minute walk (tides and wave strength very changeable so be prepared to move at short notice)! Very quiet though and great for snorkeling- saw loads of fish! There’s no sun loungers though and no shade (a little if you sit on rocks) and don’t bother buying an umbrella ours kept taking off as it is windy!! (But wind is welcome In that heat!) Papagayo beach less than a mile walk - it’s well worth it the beach is beautiful!! Food wise we didn’t like the marina (25 min walk), but the promenade walk is beautiful. we went to playa Blanca a few times for food, good atmosphere and views but personally liked the restaurants we have near the hotel food wise - Carpe Diem was the most amazing food! Also lovely food was Simple and Natural (only until 4pm). Alfies was nice and Paulo’s sports bar great for drinks (didn’t eat there so not sure about food). We got the bus No 30 opposite hotel it does a loop every 30 mins (quarter past and quarter to) so easy to hop on and off but took a while to work out the stops (the hotel give you a map think we were just being a bit stupid!) - for main strip in the evening we got off at bus station and then opposite of the road to catch back (on the hour/half past). Last bus at 10pm but there’s a taxi rank too. Overall it was a lovely place to go. Coloradamar were so welcoming. There’s no facilities at the hotel and you’ll do a bit more walking to the beach/supermarkets but we don’t mind that. Food in the supermarket nearby is expensive. Found ‘overseas’ cheaper or in playa Blanca. The location is in a quieter area of Lanzarote and in my opinion much nicer than the busier areas.
