Fantastisk opphold!
Vi var på familieferie til dette fantastiske hotellet! Vi bodde på club premium og var strålende fornøyde med alt! Rommet, rengjøring, senga, sengetøyet, mat, omvigelser, personalet på hotellet og i restauranten vi spise! Det var med tungt hjerte vi satt oss på flyet hjem.. Vi hadde med oss sønnen vår på 7 måneder så det var fantastisk å ha så stor og god plass i leiligheten 😊 vi spurte etter booking om vi kunne få leilighet i 1 etg med jacucci og vi fikk det👍 P.s om en booker halvpensjon får en frokost og middag. En kan bytte fra middag til lunsj en eller flere dager.. Vi hadde planer om det.. Men det var så sinnsykt god mat til middagen, så vi ville ikke.. Nydelig frokost og! Takk for eit fantastisk opphold ! Vi kommer garantert tilbake!
Great to be back for a third time
We really enjoy our holidays here,the accommodation is first class,the restaurant and pool area are excellent.The staff are very friendly and give great service.I must mention Jaqueline and her staff who went above and beyond the call of duty when my wife took ill on the first night.They were exceptional and we will never forget what they did.Friends for life.After that event we had a wonderful holiday,and thanks to all the staff for being so kind to us.
So dissatisfied
Not very often I put negative comments however feel the need on this occasion. Just arrived, attitude of receptionist was " uninterested just a tick box", then informed to go and stand at doorway like a school child to be taken to our room. Joined many other guests to wait on a porter to take us our room. Bit of a crowd waiting to get a porter and not very well organised. Room very disappointing supposedly a see view all we can see is plants. Shown a map of hotel and basically get find your own way about. Room very dispointing room 2110. Sadly wished I had booked barcelo correlego bay where staff made you feel welcome. Plan:speak with jet2 rep tomorrow.
Great holiday
We had been reading the reviews and were getting excited about our stay at the Barcelo Royal level. We'll it didn't let us down, maybe they don't have a massive choice of food but what food they do serve was very tasty especially the breakfast. As for the waiters/ waitresses they were very attentive, always had a smile on there faces and it seemed like nothing was too much of a trouble. The only problem I have is that we enjoyed ourselves that much that I think we can only do Royal level from now on. Thank you Barcelo for an awesome holiday.
Not quite hitting the right notes
The Royal Level check-in was nothing special - there was only one person on the desk and even with only 2 people in front of us it took us over 20 minutes to show our passports and pick up our key (we had already checked in on line). Where was the welcome drink on arrival ? After about 15 minutes someone did walk by and told us to help ourselves to a water / orange drink off the shelf. The room, was lovely , very clean with very comfy twin beds. We especially enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the very comfortable chairs. The pool was very inviting and the area around was well kept however there should be a rule to stop holiday makers reserving sun beds, either that - or add additional sun beds on the grassy area so there are enough for everyone. On several occasions we were unable to find a free sunbed , even though only about 20% of them were occupied. There is no clear understanding amongst the guests on what are the Royal Level benefits - For example Is the spa free or a special rate if you are on Half Board ? For example - which restaurants by the harbour are free or at reduced price or full price? A simple list detailing all the benefits of Royal Level should be provided to guest on check in. Every afternoon a staff member would to bring 2 chocolates to the room, and whilst is a nice gesture by the hotel, we were often sleeping, showering and on one occasion not given enough time to walk from the balcony to the front door before they entered the room - and we could have been half dressed. Perhaps the staff member who turns the room around each day could leave them then along with the water ? But for us and a lot of the guests the holiday has been let down by the restaurant - one of the selling points promoted for Royal Level customers. All the cooked meals are cold - warm at best - even when a new tray of scrambled eggs was put out at breakfast it was cold - not even warm! The same for a new tray of Lasagne - it was luke warm. The selection of food is very random - why on the same night would you have rabbit stew and veal casserole - Both strong red meat flavours. But then there is nothing to accompany the meat part of the meal - no vegetables, sometimes rice sometimes chips ! Breakfast time - The waiting staff ask you immediately you sit down to order eggs/omelette (to go with a full English if you wish) and tea or coffee but the eggs can arrive within a minute - before there’s even time to open your box of cereals - but then on another occasions the eggs took 10 minutes or longer. Surely it would be better to have a few fried pre-cooked on the counter (like with the poached eggs). Omelettes of course need to be cooked to order. It would be nice if Barcelo advertised on the App what theme the evening meal was going to be, for example we missed the Mexican evening which is our favourite food as we had arranged to eat in town that evening This is meant as constructive criticism because as frequent visitors to Barceló hotels this one has such a lovely beach front location, with a lovely pool and could potentially be a favourite of ours. It is unfortunately, let down by the food, so I’m afraid we will not be revisiting, but will return to Barcelo Corralejo Bay later in the year which I know, from friends who have just transferred from The Corralejo Bay to Caletta de Fuste for part 2 of their holiday, remains the best hotel - especially in regard to continual high standards in the resturant.
