Fin beliggenhet, men ikke verdt 5 stjerner

Vi hadde booket rom flere måneder før avreise,  fikk likevel ved ankomst beskjed om vi måtte bytte rom midt oppholdet, som kun skulle vare 5 netter. Det første rommet vi fikk, nr. 104, var en såkalt oppgradering. Rommet var marginalt større enn et vanlig dobbeltrom og hadde plass til en smal sofa i fotenden av senga. Det lå på bakkeplan og var mørkt og dystert. Det stinket kloakk både på terrassen og på badet. Etter noe om og men fikk vi et nytt rom, som nok var det vi egentlig skulle ha, for her fikk vi bli under hele oppholdet. Rommet var bra, men med lite skapplass. På badet var det ingen hyller eller skap, ikke tannglass eller sted å legge fra seg håndsåpen. Proppen i vasken funket ikke, og stikkontakten på soverommet falt ut ved første bruk. Personalet i resepsjonen  som stort sett bestod av svært unge folk, var lite imøtekommende etter at vi hadde sagt ifra  om lukten på rom 104. Ingen smil, så vidt de hilste. Personalet i restauranten Achinos derimot,  var blide og hyggelige. Restauranten serverer meget god lunsj, og frokostbufféen er ok. Det er relativt få solsenger og plasser rundt poolen ift antall gjesterom. Alt i alt et helt ok hotell, men overpriset og ikke verdt sine 5 stjerner

Εξαιρετική τοποθεσία με άριστη εξυπηρέτηση!

Το ανακαινισμένο Thalassa Cape Hotel είναι ουσιαστικά εντός της Χώρας, έχει ένα απίθανο beach bar και η εξυπηρέτηση όλων των ανθρώπων του ξενοδοχείου είναι πάνω από τα φυσιολογικά όρια με αποκορύφωμα την εξυπηρέτηση από τη reception η οποία με την καθοδήγηση της Γεωργίας προσφέρει στον επισκέπτη πληροφορίες που κάνουν τη διαμονή του τέλεια!

Vacanza a Skiathos

Abbiamo soggiornato al Thalassa fine luglio inizio agosto, per una bella vacanza a Skiathos, che dire nel complesso una buona struttura vicino al MARE ( BELLO) con una bella piscina e un lido a pagamento, punta di forza la colazione ottima e abbondante, tutti i ragazzi dal bar alla reception al lido tutti gentili e disponibili, soprattutto le ragazze della reception, struttura situata in una zona meno movimentata del centro ma poco distante. Ottimo il ristorante abbiamo cenato più volte tutto buono, se proprio devo trovare un punto da migliorare il bagno può essere più spazioso con qualche prodotto in più, nel complesso lo consiglio, sicuramente torneremo speriamo presto

Amazing time

Firstly I would like to thank Georgia hotel manager for going above and beyond for making our holiday enjoyable. We booked through Jet2 package holiday and was originally placed in the Theros building which is part of Cape but older, I had already upgraded our room from standard to comfort which was £300 extra on top of our original price. On arrival to our room it was not of a standard that my husband and I would expect especially with the holiday costing. It was close to the main road and there was no balcony privacy partition so you could see the people next door and very close. We explained to Georgia that this room was not to our liking and asked to be moved to the Cape building which was completely different to the older part. Before she could swap our rooms she had to get in touch with the jet2 rep and struggled for hours it was becoming a farce, eventually she went above the non existent rep and managed to get us swapped over which we were so grateful for. The Thallaso Cape is in a great location a short walk into beautiful Skiathos Town where we blown away by two restaurants that is a must to visit if you are foodies like us - 1901 and Marmita. The beach is clean and water is clear. The only downside is that the hot breakfast buffet is not hot, it was cold every morning and had to ask for mine to be warmed up. Great cold buffet selection, fruit, pastries, ham, cheeses. Will definitely be returning but a bit of good advise - book directly with the hotel and not with Jet2, what Jet2 misleadingly does not tell you is that a standard, comfort, superior are all the same only different views and these are not necessarily Seaview either ??? We now know we will NEVER BOOK WITH JET2 again Thank you again Georgia for all that you did for making our first holiday without children very special it - it truly was amazing.

Not so great

On arrival we were greeted at airport by driver as we arranged private taxi to hotel through the hotel 15 euros 5 min drive as booking through holiday transfer wanted £29.95 per person each way !. Greeted at hotel by very polite reception who informed us they had upgraded our room. I’ve still yet to see how as you will see by pictures.Nothing special but nice think this room was flooded in storms as walls stained. Beds and pillows extremely comfortable. Balcony with little view and dogs next to property barking in morning and every time another dog passes property which was really loud and loading logs for winter. No one’s fault just annoying. Breakfast fruit yoghurt bread pastries but you are limited as a couple there daily took enough pastries to feed a table of ten. If your looking for hot food forget it. Ham mini horrible hot dog type sausages beans and the norm for breakfast not just warm but cold every day. Last day just a few of us left so they didn’t put out everything even our coffee was given with no saucers. All staff polite but all in all by my previous visits to Greece the whole of the places we visited there was not the normal warmth that I’ve seen in other areas I’ve visited in Greece from the people. Pool area okay there was the normal towel placers in the morning so they weren’t used till afternoon. Their sunbeds are very comfy and in with the price of your holiday but we used the beach sunbeds which the company ownslovely and comfy €15 for two beds sunshade if you want it included. Beach nice and swam in water too but certain days was very dirty with lots of rubbish in. Wouldn’t go back as didn’t find the area as friendly as other Places in Greece I’ve visited but had a nice relaxing time. Not good for anyone with a mobility issue. Cleaners very thorough. Towels changed daily (not necessary) Hairdryer in bathroom, safe complimentary toiletries in bathroom. Limited hangers 5 in our room. Tea coffee had to ask in reception for more as never replaced. Bin missing on last day !. Room 106
