un tre stelle NON quattro

Posizionato tra gli ulivi e comodo al centro di Skiathos. Le camere sono da considerare come 3 NON 4 stelle. Doccia senza un porta sapone. Si doveva mettere shampoo e bagnoschiuma scomodamente a terra. Abbiamo dovuto far sostituire il doccione perchè non funzionante. L'idraulico ha infangato il bagno. Nessuno è venuto a pulire. Ho pulito io. Tubi idraulici lunghi 50 cm esposti nel muro del bagno, ed era una camera "Suite". Camere caldissime ( agosto) , condizionatore rumoroso. Dormito malissimo, ci svegliavamo bagnati di sudore per il caldo e il rumore delle unità esterne delle altre camere. Non si poteva dormire con la finestra aperta perché entravano le zanzare. Unica tenda pesante che oscurava la camera pertanto per cambiarsi o si stava al buoi o si era in vetrina. Pulizia scarsa per due giorni ci siamo tenuti un bel "gatto" nell'angolo. Colazione non eccezionale e ripetitiva. Poco posto per accomodarsi all'ombra. Una mattina volevano impedirci di sederci nell'unico tavolo all'ombra perché apparecchiato per 4 persone. Non mi sembra ospitale che un 4 stelle faccia far colazione sotto un sole cocente! Buon 3 stelle pagato come 4.

Soggiorno eccellente

Non ho dato 10 come voto solo perché il massimo è 5. Soggiornò eccellente da tutti i punti di vista. Lo staff è professionale, simpatico e molto disponibile . In particolare era il nostro anniversario e ci hanno fatto trovare una bottiglia di vino in frigo con un biglietto di auguri . Un grazie speciale lo Dobbiamo a Lorenzo che è stata la nostra guida in tutto il soggiorno indicandoci le migliori spiagge, i migliori ristoranti. Consigliatissimo❣️ottima la pulizia, il cibo ( da loro si mangia benissimo) ottima la colazione . Potete noleggiare li stesso un mezzo per girare l’isola. Spero di ritornarci presto .

Comme un commentaire précédent nous avons logé dans la chambre 303, la climatisions coulait toute la nuit faisant un bruit suffisamment désagréable pour nous empêcher de dormir pendant trois jours. Les photos annoncées sur le site n’ont strictement rien à voir avec ce que nous avons vu sur place. La piscine est petite. Nous avons également réservé une chambre avec jacuzzi extérieurs, pensant pouvoir avoir un peu d’intimité, celle-ci donne directement sur le parking et visible de tous . Le petit déjeuner juste basique et sans grande saveurs. Le personnel de l’hôtel n’est absolument pas accueillant et totalement indifférent à nos requête. Seul point positif de notre séjour à l’Avaton, restera l’amabilité des serveurs et cuisiniers du restaurant

Would not recommend or return

Stayed at the Avaton for 2 weeks in the main building. I had done my research before booking, so I'm surprised my view differs so much from others. That may be because my room was in the main building & not a suite. The description in the brochure said the room was deluxe, but there was nothing deluxe about it. Very small, no storage & the bathroom & shower cubicle were tiny and flooded every time you showered. The complimentary toiletries were a nice touch. The bed was huge but too hard for me. Location wasn't the best & the 20-minute walk (uphill) into Skiathos Town became tedious rather than pleasurable, but I was aware of the location & walk before I booked, just hadn't taken on board the terrain. It was good to have the beach & some choice of restaurants 5 minutes walk away for the days we couldn't manage the walk into town. Rooms are all located down one corridor & as the walls are so thin, noise from other guests could be heard which impacted on sleep quality, so not the most restful holiday. The cleaners & restaurant staff all worked hard & daily towel changes were appreciated but not always necessary. The pool area & gardens were clean & and maintained, but the cushions on the loungers were wet (left out all the time) dirty & threadbare. The photos on the website showing this area are not true reflections. Breakfast was ok. Fruit, yoghurt & cakes every day along with juices, but the 'hot' food option, which included eggs, sausage beans, etc, was tepid at best. Food wasn't covered. The hotel is definitely not 4* & I would not recommend or return. Skiathos is lovely, plenty to do & see, & getting around on the bus is cheap & easy, but I would choose a different hotel more central to the main town on my next visit.

Spectacular Skiathos Avaton

We booked with Tui. Journey from airport takes about 10/15 min. We were immediately greeted by a friendly member of staff (Nina), which set the tone for the extremely high level of service we experienced throughout our stay. All the serving staff were incredible (especially Nina, Nina and Stelios) and the reception staff were so professional and helpful. Rooms are nice - not luxurious but with all the conveniences expected. Air con is good and powerful but maybe a little noisy. The communal area is really lovely, although some of the sunbeds are a bit tatty as are the pool towels and these could definitely do with updating. The breakfast is spectacular, and the food in Black Pepper restaurant is of a very high quality. It's a 20 min walk into town, and it's not a very nice walk so I wouldn't come here with a buggy/pushchair. Taxis are 10 euros each way and take 5 min. I would love to come back and stay here again.
