Perfect location for an all round family holiday

Arina Beach is a lovely hotel! Very clean and only 10 minutes from the airport This hotel has everything you need for a family holiday. We are a family of 3 with an 8 year old son. The rooms were a good size (our view was of the heart shape pool and the sea) There were plenty of pools depending on your mood The kids area was fab!! The bucket was brilliant and the flumes provided enough fun! There was an adults area if needed You could join in the day time activities if you wished but there was no pressure. Plenty of choice re drinks and snack bars The food was amazing every night and we enjoyed two nights in the Asian restaurant and one in the a’la carte. More than enough choice in the main buffet too with a kids section as well Venturing out to Heraklion on the bus was easy and great to visit the archeological museum there. We also had a fun few hours at the Dinosaur park, again easy to get to on the local buses The gym was modern and provided enough equipment for a decent workout. The spa was lovely (little on the expensive said but we expected that) well trained staff and no heavy sale Our son enjoyed a strawberry massage! Staff were friendly and accommodating. My husband is registered blind so staff made sure he was ok. We even got approached by the hotel manager (George) Alex was helpful to us lunchtimes and the day time bar staff took time to get to know us and were always helpful and friendly Everyone took pride in ensuring the hotel was well maintained and it showed We are planning to go back next year as it ticked a lot of boxes for us!! Having the beach at our fingertips was a massive positive! So lovely to walk in the sea and along the beach every day! Highly recommend

Very good Hotel

Good hotel, staff very friendly and helpful. The food was very good with many diversity. We recommand this place if you want to have very good holidays. Probably we come back another time. Thank you very much

Great disco event

Great location near Heraklion, a hotel on the beach, nice for chill out moments, golden sand. Menu at the restaurant needs update. Rooms are great too. Entertainment is quite poor, a bit boring , except the one with disco party night. The dj there is really good, and is trying to entertain the guests even though that the most of the guests are families with so many children around, dancefloor looks like a huge kids playground!!! Unbelievable we couldn’t dance because of so many children around, even though that the music was excellent that night. I would wish to see less children the next time to visit this beautiful hotel in Crete.

one of the best!!! not 5 star, and still much more!!!! the massage wasn't good, and expensive on the beach, grate location, a lot of swimming pools great food also in dor pool and some of the rooms has privet swimming pool the rooms have beautiful view

Brilliant November Half Term break

The hotel is very clean and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was plentiful with plenty of choice. There are plenty of different eateries to choose from also. We were fortunate to eat in each one and our favourite was the Asian Restaurant, which had a wide range of different foods available in buffet style - excellent. and the views were stunning. The DIA beach Snack/Bar was very convenient and offered plenty of freshly made foods such as salads; pizzas; wraps; burgers etc etc. The hotel location is right on a lovely sandy beach with crystal clear waters and hardly any tide worth noting. For those that want to spend time in the sun, poolside and beach sunbeds were in plentiful supply. It appears that children are very well catered for with 2 or 3 pools for families including 1 for toddlers with pool water fountains etc and a larger waterslide pool for the larger and more adventurous. Albeit we were in the hotel at the end of the season the entertainment programme was not the best, however this could be because of the time of year. The only downside we could find was that on some of the stairs that the handrails don't reach to the top/bottom steps which could create difficulty for the less mobile and those reliant on handrails. Overall a brilliant experience and we'd definitely return.
