Fantastisk 💕

Vi reiser med Qatar og bruker stay over tilbudet . Stort hotell, fantastisk service, bra basseng, nydelig poolbar. Store rom, rask innsjekk. Spa, trening, her har du alt du trenger. Synd vi ska være her kun et døgn... Hit skal vi tilbake👍

Norwegians should stay here

Fantastisk sted å bo og et servicenivå helt utenom det vanlige. Maten er generelt spennende og god, men det er dessertene som må omtales, lekre, små, og så smakfulle at man glemmer hvor ekstremt mange kalorier de antakelig består av:) Bassengene var deilig avkjølt - i hvert fall sammenliknet med lufttemperatur som var 43 grader.

Best Resort Stay in Doha

I stayed there for 70 days Since Jan 2020 till Mar 2020. The Hotel is almost 40 Minutes Drive from the Airport. As soon as I entered the Hotel I was Welcomed by Hotel Staff Ahmed. He was very Welcoming. Although my Check in was at 12 PM , they gave me much earlier check in at 8 AM. The room was very good and best thing about the room was the see view balcony. We used to eat dinner in the balcony everyday. the whole staff was very good , at reception , st breakfast area. After few days I stared to felt like Home. If you are Indian there are not much Indian Options at the Breakfast Buffet , but after talking to Restaurant Staffs (Rohan) and Chef Mr Sonu , they started making Indian breakfast Options for us. Thanks for that. They have a Club Monkey Tale for which the entry is free for In House Guests. The Beaches are Nice and clean. For Nice Sleep take the room on the Right Wing. The Left Wing Room is closer to Monkey Tale and restaurant which sometimes gets Loud Music on Weekends. BTW hotel is far from the DOHA central districts. So if you want to Daily walk to Central then this hotel is not best for you. Closest Metro Station is 3 KMs away. Although there is a LAGOONA mall in front of the hotel.

Great Hotel

We stayed at the a Hotel for 3 nights. Although the Hotel is old the surroundings and decor was beautiful. The staff were fantastic, friendly helpful and professional. The only negative which was not the hotels fault. Many of the restaurants and spa were closed because of the Corona virus, so we were very limited on what we could do.

Not relaxing stay

We chose this hotel for a relaxing 4 night stay after several weeks of constant travel. This is a beautiful hotel with clean large and comfortable rooms, with beautiful and well kept gardens. The staff are extremely friendly and try to be helpful, but unfortunately the hotel didn’t live up to our expectations, the reasons as follow; We checked in early on Thursday 5th of March and enjoyed probably the best breakfast of our trip to that point. Huge choice of food to suit all tastes. It was excellent. So things started on a high. Some of the shortfalls are beyond the control of the hotel, but other factors are within their control. Sadly we cut short our stay by 2 nights due to those factors and we feel people should be aware of what to expect. We were looking to have time resting around the pool and getting some time in the sun. The main hotel pool is beautiful and clean and would have been a perfect spot to relax but for the presence of numerous jet skis travelling along the narrow channel adjacent to our location ( this was Thursday from approximately 2PM and actually continued after dusk. Some of the jet skis had lights on them). The noise from the high powered jet skis is extremely loud and for most of the time they are accompanied by a speed boat/s which have P.A. systems that have blaring music. The riders use the wake from the boat/s to perform jumps in the narrow channel that borders the hotel, constantly going back and forth. We then moved to the hotel’s other pool, on a stretch of land much further from the hotel to escape the noise. Unfortunately there is building work close to that location where 3 mechanical diggers were working moving large boulders, I would estimate no more than 100-150 metres away and they were also generating dust, as well as the noise. (Obviously beyond the control of the hotel, but a factor you need to be aware of). So we moved to the hotel private beach. There was a function planned for the next day and they were sound checking the P.A. System at that location, also extremely noisy. As a result of the above we approached the Hotel Management, who stated the the jet ski situation is beyond their control (however, we observed 3 of the jet ski riders using the hotel facilities at the beach), plus the hotel actually offers jet skis for hire. We did ask for a hotel move and were told that was not an option. They were very friendly and offered use of the Club Lounge, which was a nice gesture, but didn’t resolve the noise issues. Friday- Day two we were able to relax around the main pool, until the jet skis started arriving around 2PM. Their numbers increased steadily until there were 23 jet skis and at one stage 4 speed boats going back and forth up the channel. Hardly relaxing. We filmed this several times over a few hours in case my version of events is challenged ( go to U Tube and you can see posts from jet skiers from 2019 onwards which shows they have been using that location for a long time). A move wasn’t an option as further along the hotel there was blaring music from the Hotel Friday Brunch function (advertised every Friday). Also this morphed into a beach party later, which had been what had been sound checked the day before. We went back to our room and could hear quite clearly the noise from the sound system with the windows shut (our room on the 5th floor about 150m away from the sound source. Those attending must have had their ears ringing). That was until gone midnight. We decided that as there was another function to be held on the Saturday that we would change hotels. Unfortunately for the second day running the breakfast wasn’t to the standard we had expected after day 1 with the excuse of “It’s the weekend and we are very busy” starting to get annoying. Management had tried to address our concerns and amazingly after being informed that we were checking out, offered an alternative hotel, but this came too late as we had booked another hotel at our own expense, as a move had not previously been an option. We wish the staff all the best for the future, but unfortunately the hotel seems more concerned about getting outsiders into the hotel for functions at the expense of the hotel guests. If you like the party atmosphere and don’t mind noise (on the weekends) fine, but this wasn’t the relaxing stay we expected and wasn’t advertised as that type of hotel. From our new hotel in the evenings we could see the jet skis in the distance still going up and down the narrow channel outside the Hyatt, so it seems we made the correct choice to move. We are not serial complainers and wouldn’t normally post a negative review, but this hotel, which should be idyllic contributes heavily to it’s negative points by not controlling factors within their control. They say the jet skis are beyond their control, so expect no change there !!! It pains us to provide negative feedback, as people’s livelihoods can be affected, but this was not the relaxing stay that was promised / expected from s 5 Star establishment.
