My wife and I stayed here on a layover back to Australia and our short stay here was one for the the records. The hotel and the staff are the best I've ever met, from our arrival to departure the service was professional, courteous and customer focused. The room was spacious and the breakfast in Baraha was sumptuous..The staff were always ready to help since it was our first time visiting Qatar. However there is one door man at the entrance by the name David who's care, concern and customer service goes above and beyond.Through him we got to learn a lot about Qatar and memorable places one can visit like the Banana Resort which apparently is a sister hotel to Alnajada(looked it up online and it's now on our bucket list for 2020 and we'll give a review about it once we visit it)my wife and I travel a lot and this experience is top notch👌Thank you David and the entire hotel staff,it's quite sad that we only stayed for a night 😢but we will be back really soon..till then adios amigos!
The best thing about this hotel is its proximity to the best tourist attraction in Doha (Souq Waqif) and the metro service. Both are almost literally on the doorstep as you leave the hotel. We received good service throughout our stay. The hotel is spotless and the room was spacious and clean. We found our one night stay to be of good value for money. I’d definitely recommend staying at this hotel.
We used this hotel as part of the Qatar Airways stopover programme staying two nights. The total room only price of QAR 401 for our stay was incredible value. The hotel is excellent in every respect particularly all the staff who invariably always offered a polite greeting to us regardless of where they were working in the hotel. The rooms are huge and very well equipped with high quality furnishings for a very comfortable stay. There is an equally spacious walk in rain shower in the bathroom with great variety of toiletries We had lunch in the Canela cafe, they do a salad, French fries, and sandwich deal for just QAR 49, good value for a tasty light lunch. Breakfast the following morning had every conceivable choice of food to suit all culinary tastes. Eggs are cooked to order, service is super efficient with plates cleared promptly. The additional charge for breakfast is just QAR 55 which includes a 20% reduction for hotel guests under the stopover programme was teriffic value for the range of food on offer. The location close to Souk Waqif is brilliant.
Best stay in Doha!
The opulence of this hotel is felt the moment you enter it's reception, with front desk meeting you with the warmest, most sincere smiles. Also, I am a light sleeper, so I cannot praise this hotel's bed sheets and pillows enough. My only regret with this hotel is that I did not stay longer! Cannot wait to return to Doha!
An Absolute Gem
We stayed for three nights in this fairly new hotel near historic Souq Waqif and loved everything about the lodging. The hotel itself is gorgeous, modern but with lovely traditional elements; beautifully designed guestrooms; and elegant public spaces, featuring comfortable seating and a lovely decor. The staff proved to be extremely customer-focused, ready to assist in any way possible. Everyone was professional, pleasant and cheerful, from Housekeeping to those on Reception duty. We ate in two of the three dining venues and also found the waitstaff there to be excellent as well as the food. We enjoyed our spacious superior twin room with amenities, such as bathrobes and slippers, nice toiletries, a desk, a big flat-screen TV, an easy chair and reliable wi-fi. Exceptionally comfortable beds gave good support but were not too firm. The bathroom was a good size and well maintained. Everything was in excellent condition and Housekeeping kept the room immaculate. The lighting and heating system were excellent. We heard no noise. I considered the location, just south of Souq Waqif, to be superb. It took us about 3 minutes to walk to the Souq when crossing a busy street and slightly longer when using an underground passageway. We walked to the Corniche and the Museum of Islamic Art within 20 minutes. Though the metro was nearby, we never needed to use it, relying mainly on Uber. The airport stands about a 15-minute ride away.
