Nice location and premises
Good location, nice premises, very comfort beds and pillows Good breakfast but when once or twice we have asked to get our breakfast in our room they told us that its not allowed.Filter coffee is the only coffee served during breakfast, it's not possible to order and pay your preferred one (espresso, cappuccino, greek coffee etc) during your breakfast. You have to go and get it from the pool bar! First coffee of the day is important guys!
Wonderful holiday in peaceful Naxos
We stayed as a family of 3 in Naxos Magic Village in the middle of July 2019. The location is on a hillside easily accesible from the main road (gps could indicate a more difficult route) and just 4 - 5 minutes away from Naxos Town by car. On the bottom of the hill there is small beach with fine sand and also a rocky side, very nice and secluded which is great to be enjoyed if one needs a bit of quietness and relaxation. The view from the room porch or window was superb overlooking Naxos Town and the sea. Also the hotel is situated within minutes by car of the 2 most popular beaches in Naxos: Agios Georgios and Agios Prokopios. The whole complex is comprised of detached rooms/small houses, which could have easily been a boutique 5 star complex but for a more luxurios design. Nevertheless it is well maintained and the gardner and all other staff do their jobs very well. The pool is nice, with warm water, a bit small but ok overall. The food in the a la carte restaurant is very tasty and fresh and the portions are generous. A little disappointing was the breakfast which featured a very bad coffee and general little to chose from - this is basicaly the only bad thing that I can say about this hotel. Otherwise cleanliness ok, staff ok. Overall a very pleasant experience which we would very much like to repeat in the future.
Adequate but too expensive for what it offers
The establishment was very nice, built as a Cycladic Chora with different types of rooms. Really nice architecture. The pool was nice and clean. Based on other reviews, I was expecting a poor breakfast, so it exceeded my expectations. It was not superb, but adequate. The staff was polite and friendly. The location was close to Chora, very quiet and with a good view. You need transportation though to go anywhere. The food was decent. You can definitely eat much better everywhere in Naxos, but we were quite pleased. However, this hotel definitely did not worth the price we paid. I would pay half the price for this. The room was full of ants. I didn't want them to use ant repellents as I have a 1,5 year old kid so didn't say anything. It was pretty obvious though, I am surprised that the cleaning staff ignored them. The room was badly preserved, with broken doors and drawers. I am also not fan of the shower curtains so this was a problem for me. At check-in, they gave zero info like for example where the breakfast is served. No informative brochures at the room either. We went ourselves to the reception to get a food menu. We were never given pool towels even though we saw other guests having them. The linen in the bed and towels were an assortment of linen from a few other hotels (we saw at least 2 different logos). Not a problem at all, but I think it looks a bit unprofessional. The cleaning lady kept coming every day at the time that the baby was sleeping and she never arranged her time in the upcoming days to come earlier. One day she didn't come at all. Overall it seemed like the staff were trying, but they do not know how to be professional and provide services relevant to their prices. I would not go back there, as I think I can find much better services at the same price.
Very helpful staff
It was a nice hotel but definitely not a 4* hotel.Very friendly staff and good location. The room was also clean but kind of old.The breakfast was a little bit pour. Finally,we will go again if we visit again Naxos
What a gem!
We stayed at the Magic Village for 4 nights and i can’t fault it. The owners and staff are absolutely amazing, they couldn’t do enough for you. We had 2 rooms, one with sea views and the other one with partial sea views and pool view/balcony. The rooms were so clean and had a kitchenette plus an under counter fridge. Were cleaned every day and our towels changed as well. They provide pool towels for a Small deposit which was great because we didn’t have any. The restaurant and bar serves excellent food and if not you can use your kitchenette and make your own. There’s a small beach about 200/300 meters from there but the pool is so nice you don’t really need to go anywhere. Breakfast is really good and had options for everyone, Greek, cooked and continental. We had a short taxi ride from tv airport and went exploring for a day on a rented car to the port and the town for a bit, beach and then back to that lovely family run traditional hotel. We loved our time there and were so sad to leave, will definitely return one day, thanks for a lovely stay!
