Excellent setup and amazing owners
The setup of this hotel is just amazing: literally next to the water and surrounded by a beautiful garden with trees and a playground for kids. The rooms were very clean, the breakfast options were great for a 3* hotel and the hospitality of the owners was amazing (we forgot the stroller for our 1year old and the owners went above and beyond to find one for us during our stay!).
JUNE HOLIDAY
When we arrived at the hotel, first impressions aren't amazing. You enter via the car park. Once you walk through the gate you are pleased to see beautiful gardens and a real beach front hotel. The rooms are very clean, small but all that you need. If you're big people you may struggle with the shower. The room safe was free as was the efficient air con. Breakfasts were superb. There may have been cooked options but there was plenty of lovely food. The beach in front of the hotel is beautiful and the sunbeds are free. The bar is great and the lunchtime food is excellent. The beach does get very busy with small children and quite noisy. You can walk to other quieter parts of the beach. If you take some decent walking shoes and don't mind a 40 minute walk then I advise walking round the headland to Thanos beach. Beautiful sand and clear waters. Still a few kids but not quite as many. The beaches do get very busy at weekends.
Great Place
The public and guest rooms are spotless, upstairs the rooms are smaller than down, but you get a better side view of the sea. Complimentary slippers and toothbrush, toothpaste is a nice touch. The sun beds more luxurious than the usual, but they like you to buy a drink from the beach bar which is fair enough. I felt the food and drinks prices are at the top end of the market, but having said that the food is of first class quality. The breakfast included in our deal is excellent. The beach is a EEC Blue flag, it shelves gradually down and is ideal for all ages. The staff and owners are very friendly and helpful, being right on the beach is a wonderful. I would happily recommend this hotel if you want a good quality beach holiday. There are a couple of other tavernas close by if you want a change of menu, and Platy villages is a 30 minuet up a very steep hill, but it’s worth it .
Amazing as always
Once again an excellent experience in this amazing hotel situated right next to the sandy beach of Platy. We met the same wonderful people working there as we did in our last visit in the previous year. Our room was cleaned and arranged every day. The Greek breakfast included all kind of tasty items. The nice addition to it were boiled eggs and Greek coffee, which the guests could prepare by themselves. One of the best things there is the wonderful kids friendly beach. It has fine sand, shallow warm and clean water. I would highly recommend this hotel to a families with small kids.
Cannot wait to return
Stayed about 3 weeks ago. Went with Sunvil. Had a downstairs garden room. Room was fine though my wife thought it a bit dark. The cost of keeping it cool? The patio and garden area was really pleasant. Ideal for a glass of wine. The breakfast were very good and the kitchen staff so helpful. They did eggs each day but if you wanted ,boiled , fried or omelette just ask. The hotel is on the beach as is the beach bar and restaurant. For us it was excellent. The beds are free but polite to buy a drink during your stay which seems more than reasonable. The walk to the village is up hill . We tended to stop a number of times on the way up (20 mins) but an easy 10 mins down. About 30 min walk into the Myrina ( some up hill but quite easy.) Couldn't fault the hotel or the location. Staff all friendly. The food in the restaurant was very good. Cannot wait to return. Loved the hotel, Myrina ,The Village, even the walk to the little local shop watching the goats as you pass by. I am missing it and cannot wait to return.
