Dårlig Beach Bar

Vi tok sjansen på å spise lunsj her til tross for mange dårlige anbefalinger. Fant ut at alle dårlige anbefalinger er berettiget. Bestilte salat med brød, fink bare salaten. Brødet ble glemt. Bestilte også en sanwich som vi i det hele tatt ikke vet om vi får ennå. Har etterlyst den, men får ingen tilbakemelding fra kelner. Kjøpte også øl. Bestilte 0,5 liter men glasset vi fikk var knapt 0,4. Her prøver stedet å svindle gjestene. Styr unna dette stedet!

Beautiful Elivi

We stayed at the Elivi for a week. From the moment we arrived we were impressed - super friendly reception and a room upgrade to one of the beach front suites - which was amazing. In all, a faultless week. Breakfast is excellent and service was great. Our House keeper was wonderful and it was a pleasure to see her everyday, the room service was spot on too. We loved it here, not sure what else to say but we are hoping to come back!

Not 5 star sadly for many reasons

Lovely position with access to 4 lovely beaches. Rooms very spacious and views gorgeous. Breakfast options good and good quality but food always like warm. Sean and Leder meal one evening lovely with extra touches. Nest meal one evening not so good food almost cold waited 25 minutes to order a drink and no extra touches. Takes forever everywhere to get a cappuccino when you do it’s cold. Given cups without spoons which eventually becomes tiring after while if waiting and asking. We had some additional issues which we spoke to customer service about too in our room which once mentioned was a lot better. However on our last day (so didn’t bother complaining again not worth it ) whilst on banana beach we had pulled a dumbed out to be in the sun the beach guy came to tell us when we’re finished we have to put it back ! It wasn’t that far away from the umberella so on principle we didn’t put it back ! Also this am we went to Xenia for breakfast where we sat towards the front but no service so we had to move up the steps to get noticed for service. One of the head managers stood on her phone whilst on the floor around her there were spillages and butter cartons people could slip on ! Unfortunately for us this was not 5 star so quite dissapointing . As 4 star hotels go it is a good one if food gets hotter! Most staff are friendly . However appalling shouting behaviour from main chef at nest on last am a member of staff had to shut the windows , he was also out in public raising his voice and being unfriendly to staff. I believe the hotel is struggling with staff this behaviour from a chef will not help . Awful to see staff belittled in front of guests. I think he has watched too much Gordon Ramsey! Would pay less stay more central to the island and stay more authentic Greece next time .

Best of times on this beautiful island !!!!

Elivi Hotel was nothing but great to us!! This was our first trip to Greece, and they were a part of making this trip so wonderful!! The beautiful scenery, clean hotel, the many great restaurants on property, multiple beaches on property, and kind, helpful employees!! Renata was especially helpful to us, and happily answered any questions or concerns…she was a big part of our great experience!! Big thanks to you guys, we had the best time!! I would definitely recommend this!!

Fabulous holiday

Wow! What a lovely hotel with beautiful staff who could not do enough for us. The Elivi is situated perfectly between a number of beaches at the site of the old Xenia. We had booked 2 x junior suites with private plunge pools (decent size and 1.4m deep!) so we were located in the NEST area of the resort. It was beautifully quiet and surrounded by pretty flowers and olive trees. Our nearest beach was Big Banana, plenty of Sun loungers all with parasols on a clean and tidy beach - the sea was a little chilly at the beginning of the week but warmed up later during our stay. Our little girl loved playing in the sand and paddling in the water. Our suite was a fab size and very clean! Unfortunately, we had issues with the upstairs neighbours and their hot tub which kept flooding our patio area and turned the pool green on a number of occasions. After a complaint to the manager Dmitry (apologies not sure how to spell it), we were kindly upgraded to a 1 bedroom sea view superior suite in the Grace area of the resort. This room was gorgeous and outside patio was lovely especially with the stunning views however, we had issues with the air con, it really did not work even on the lowest temperature of 16C and highest fan speed the room never seemed to cool down! The resort is fairly hilly but they offer a club car/buggy service to take guests from various parts of the resort, we found this extremely useful especially with having a toddler with us. We had to use it more so as the only lift on the resort broke down several times during our stay. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, from heating food up for our toddler, offering pasta dishes that weren’t on the menu, for cleaning out of hours when the patio was flooded, for all the rides to and from beaches & main entrance etc. they really do go above and beyond. The only gripes we have are: 1. breakfast felt disorganised and a bit of a free for all. We expected there to be a host who would show you to a table and introduce a server - but it was more like find your own table and be ignored by staff for 10 minutes before being offered drinks. 2. There was a shortage of highchairs too, in the whole breakfast restaurant they only have 4 and there were more than 4 babies / toddlers needing one at the same time. 3. While the food options were vast, the quality and temperature of the food was poor, hot food often cold. The waffles 🧇 were amazing though, so very tasty as were the French fries from the nest beach bar - mouth-wateringly tasty! 🤤 All in all, we had a fabulous holiday and will most definitely be back in the future!
