Strandsenger tilhjengelig for alle gjester, ikke bare level 1. Derfor sengene i stor grad ubenyttet. En heis for lite.

Kjærestetur i Magaluf

Bra Hotel.

Mange restaurant å velge blant i nærheten.

Clean and great location

Positives: clean, comfortable room, great location, great breakfast. Negatives: pool bar service was woeful on the Calvia Beach side. The female staff in particular are rude and made you feel as if they were the customer! Not many pool activities for children but mine are older so not an issue for us. Over zealous with masks but I'm guessing that's a countrywide rule for them.

Not as hoped

Stayed here for 3 nights. It was, like for many others, our first abroad break since Covid but also our first as a family with our 1yo and we were so disappointed. Even on arrival at the hotel, no one met us with our luggage. We were staying in one of The Level rooms and porter service was a perk apparently (as was a nightly turn down service which we also never got). We arrived early and our room, understandably, wasn't ready but they did allow us immediate access to breakfast which was generous. No one ever talked us through the facilities offered so l can not comment on the classes offered etc and feel we probably missed out on a lot. We visited the beach as understood the beach section had some areas for The Level rooms and were charged a ridiculous €80 for a double bed on some concrete. This didn't even come with a complimentary drink etc. Interestingly, l noticed in the lift on our second day reference to the beach bed coming with a credit for the beach bar restaurant. This was certainly never communicated to us and reception seemed uninterested when we raised the point. We had lunch at the beach club restaurant twice. Paula most certainly deserves a special mention for her outstanding customer service. The food was very good (as was all the food we had in the hotel)   but the rules around ordering confusing. The first day, we could order in person. The second day, l ordered a soft drink and lunch in person but when my husband tried to order a bottle of wine, the order was initially taken by a member of staff. He then chased it and was told we could only order to our table via the QR code. Some consistency would be good. In respect of the room, it was certainly lovely and as the website. Good toiletries and plenty of towels. No milk though and on our last night, they took our robes!!!!!! I don't know what sort of clientele they are used to but l can only assume they are people that steal robes. So don't expect to have a robe on your last night! We also had multiple problems with being able to charge items to the room using our band. The website tells you to leave your card in the room but we would have not been able to pay for anything otherwise. This resulted in multiple charges by our bank which was frustrating to the point where they temporarily froze our card.  As a result of the problems charging to the room, whilst my husband had our son so l could have a precious hour on my own in the adults only area, l was hounded 3 times by someone from the bar as some items were unable to be charged. As to the family friendlyness of this hotel, l think bearing in mind the level of noise (live music til around 10 30 every night which is so loud you may as well have your doors open and we were on the 9th floor), this hotel would be better off branding itself as adults only. Saying that, they did bring a box of child friendly bathtime products as well as a little box of chocolate milkshake and a packet of biscuits every night. The travel cot was also of good quality. This is also a hotel where guests bagsy the sunbeds and then don't use them. The hotel need to be on this. It was a nightmare trying to find sunbeds every day. As to The Level, we didn't really see any perks (one ironed garment per stay, pillow menu, porter service etc). Saying that, the offerings at The Level Lounge shared with Calvia was very generous. A huge selection of drink and food. Though the "free" cocktail hour had a slight sense of desperation about it watching fellow Brits down as much booze as they could in an hour whilst the children strolled out with as many bottles of soft drinks as they could manage. I do have to say that breakfast was excellent. Especially for a hotel of this size. Also, the hotel is very strict with the Covid rules. Coming from the UK where masks are no longer compulsory in a lot of places, this may seem over zealous but is probably for the best. The travel industry has obviously suffered terribly so we totally support any measures that allow them to remain open. As you can tell, despite some positives, we were really disappointed by our stay and to be honest, quite gutted that this was our experience of our first trip abroad with our baby. This was also our first Melia experience. Stayed here for 3 nights.
