Awesome week
We stayed on week on this place. The hotel is rather old by everything is clean and well maintained. The rooms are big with two separate beds that are very hard (which I like) and very nice balcony with great view. If you count on that you will have a refrigerator beware, we only had like electrified cooling box that cooled our stuff down but don’t down to a “real” cool temperature, would store food in it. The pool area is nice but as always people get up and 06:30 AM and reserves sun beds. There is a pretty high edge between the water and the ground. The breakfast was super good with were could make your own Greek salad and freshly baked bread. Would definitely return to this place.
Nice week on Samos
We (couple, 28 years old) have just spent a week at Andromeda. In total it was a very nice stay however not entirely fulfilling compared to the price. We stayed at room 101 (highest floor), the view was amazing. Furniture on balcony and in the bedroom fine, the beds are quite hard so don't expect a soft comfy bed. Not a lot of closet space. We did not use the aircondition, but it looked like something from the 90s (not really White anymore) and it was placed right on top of the closet (blowing down on it). Fine safety box in the room and a small flat screen TV. Small fridge in the room, ours was so noisy we had to turn it off during the night. Right below our room were what we thought was a water pump of some sort which was starting and stopping all the time (quite loud sound) luckily not during the night. The bathroom is what really needs attention to get this hotel up to speed, the shower is approximately 40x40cm when using the shower curtain... Not sure on how to make it better, maybe placing a rail for the shower curtain in the ceiling and then use a weighted shower curtain so it doesn't stick to you. Water varies quite a lot in temperature but fine pressure. Breakfast was really sad, the cheapest toast bread and hard hard boiled cold eggs. No fruit or juice at all. Coffee was ok. The whole setup with the breakfast is really clumsy and not really thought through. You can borrow pool/beach towels in the reception, I don't know why that isn't mentioned anywhere. Pool area good apart from an electric wire coming out of the ground right at the pool entrance and a couple of the wood poles for the pergola have rotted away at the bottom and PU foam has been used to "fix" it. Fine number of sunbeds. Pool bar has nice food (very big portions) and drinks for reasonible prices. The "beach" at the hotel is a wooden platform close to the water. You can go down and take a swim but remember bathing shoes. In general the hotel is not for poorly walking people, a lot of stairs and incline. In general the outdoor area down between the hotel and the water really could use a shine up! Staff quite nice, some better at english than others. 25 minutes walk to Samos town, quite narrow road with some traffic. Suggestions for hotel: - bathroom needs update, fx a weighred rail shower curtain to avoid loosing the space because of clinging shower curtain. - breakfast in general. Fruit is cheap on Samos and tastes great, use it to make the breakfast a lot more fun, as well as juice. Maybe Invest in a coffee machine and then place All the drinks elsewhere as the food so that people can go get a cup of coffee extra without having to stand in the same line as the guys toasting their toast. Learn how to make warm eggs and don't boil them half blue. Add a couple of sausages or bacon. Maybe a "make your own pancake" station, together with the fresh fruit. - make something with the huge outdoor area between the hotel and the water, remove the old minigolf courses and tidy things a bit.
Thanks Andromeda
Best hotel experience ever, the staff is lovely, friendly and super helpful. Samos is extremely beautiful and Andromeda has the best view to the turquoise Mediterranean ocean and iconic sunsets. Definitely we will be back, thanks a lot Anastacia. Best Cruz and Emilie
Traveling with family and father with celiac disease
I have celiac disease. I forgot to inform the hotel in advance. Still, the way they have gone all the way to help me, is unbelievable. The manager bought gluten free bread to me as soon as the stores opened. He went back to his private apartment to get baking paper, so I could use the toaster during breakfast. When I ordered dinner in the restaurant, the waiter called the butcher sunday evening to check if the sausages are gluten free. The staff is just super friendly. They really do everything they can to make their guests happy. The hotel is located on a slope with amazing view over the sea. They have a swimming pool with a bar / small restaurant. Everything is clean and well looked after. Samos is a very quiet town. Not for young people who wants to party, but perfect families with children and mature people who just want to relax in a quiet place. Air conditioning in every room. (small fee extra) Though the constant gentle breeze made the air conditioner unnecessary. Could not be any better.
HAPPY MEMORIES
My family stayed here many years ago and were treated like Royalty. We loved it so much we have never forgotten the hospitality fabulous rooms and great cuisine. Our son was suffering from childhood asthma at the time and the managers were both trained pharmacists based in Athens. They did so much to assist when he was having breathing difficulty due to the heat. They would not accept any recompense for their efforts either.
