Quality hotel
Couldn’t really fault the hotel room I booked, it was excellent, food was good, pool areas well kept and all the staff were great. Location was good as it was away from the port and there was a superb market close by.
Nice hotel
Stayed over the UK bank holiday so the hotel was busy with mainly British people ( like myself ). When I walked into reception to check in, the bar is right next to the reception and there was a large group of loud, drunk guys shouting at some girls checking in. The staff ignored this. I had asked for a nice view and quiet room. Whilst my room was relatively quiet it faced the street so no nice view. The room itself is nice and modern, but small for two people. The hotel is of course new and there are some design flaws. Carpets in the corridors make it difficult to wheel luggage to rooms. The flooring is poorly marked so you often find yourself tripping up when you’re walking around the hotel. The chairs in the session restaurant are uncomfortable to eat in as they don’t allow you to comfortably place your elbows. I think in the effort to look cool, some practical thought has been lost. The gym is ok- cardio, few fixed and free weights - nothing heavy. You can’t do a proper strength workout, but it’s ok for a quick session. Had to ask for towels nearly every time in the gym as they didn’t restock. The staff in the hotel from the reception, lifeguards, waiting staff and cleaners are all lovely and friendly. The food in the pools and drinks is ok, but overpriced. The breakfast and dinner in the session restaurant is ok. Disappointing if you book half board they don’t replenish your bottled water every day in your room. There is a supermarket opposite and you can bring food and drink to the pool. The pools are nice and no issue getting a sun bed. This is a nice hotel and with some tweaks could be better. When guests are checking out I was surprised I wasn’t asked how my stay was. These small things make a lot of difference! It seems they will tolerate the noise of the unruly guests to the detriment of other guests and a better balance needs to be made.
Perfect stress free break
The most gorgeous stay. Staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough to make the experience special. The room was gorgeous and the hotel stunning. Amazing breakfast included which is the best I’ve had. The pool menu was gorgeous with amazing cocktails and food to enjoy during the day. Couldn’t recommend enough. Only a short walk to Puerto Banús with some gorgeous restaurants and bars nearby. too.
Hard rock hotel marbella
It's one of the best hotel in Marbella and very recommendable. Everyone is nice and accomodating. Place is excellent and good and clase to shops, malls, restaurants, beach and transport. Food is awesome and restaurants offers excellent service. Rooms are clean and the overall ambience of the hotel is perfect. you can't wait to see and Highly recommended for those who would love to really enjoy their vacation
Go somewhere else!
We have been massive fans of Hard Rock restaurants and Hotels for years, our favourite hotel is in Tenerife. Marbella...wow, what a huge disappointment. We're in our 50's and forget going to the pool as a mature couple it's like club 18-30 with lots of 'African dance music' which I like but it's not in the Rock genre imo. The young people here look stunning and enjoy the vibe but it's not for anyone 40+ for any more than an hour. The breakfast was underwhelming. I've stayed at lower grade hotels in Greece and Spain that serve better. That said Hard Rock Tenerife breakfast was amazing! Now for the dinner - yes we chose half board, what can go wrong? It's the Hard Rock...famous for steak sandwiches, burgers and mac n cheese! The standard of the food at the Hard Rock Marbella I would liken to the food on offer at Tulliallan Police College with a budget of something like £1.70 per day per person. Everything was tasteless I mean just crap. The show cooking - I had carbonara, it tasted like it was made with carnation milk (evaporated milk). My husband had fish which was tough and bland. The puds were ok but we are keen cooks and do better at home. The room is nice but for a suite not a patch on Tenerife (Marbs you have a tough act to follow!) The staff are nice. Our TV hasn't worked since we arrived and when I complained they said they would fix it but that's 2 days into our holiday and as there's no evening entertainment here we could at least go and watch music videos in our rooms. I told reception about TV and they didn't fix it, made excuses that they would get IT to fix it...meanwhile we be been here for 2 days! All in all Hard Rock...you need to get over yourselves and forget the hype you are underachieving and need to see that. Hard Rock will reply with the standard platitudes in sure!
