god mat, rent, hyggelig betjening. Underholdning hver kveld. En fin og rolig oase bak hotellet med gode solsenger og et mindre svømmebasseng der man kunne ligge i rolige omgivelser.

vinene smakte ikke så godt, samt solsengene rundt det store bassenget var ikke gode å ligge på.

Svært fornøyd

Alt var helt topp. Hotellet er noen år gammelt, men alt holdes skinnende rent og ryddig av flittige og svært hyggelige Grekere. All inclusive mat og drikke, av ypperste type, enormt utvalg til alle måltider. To basseng, strand og vindsurfing. Akkurat passe vind i det meget varme været.

Noen skuffelser

Det er et helt greit hotell, men vær forberedt på at veldig mye ikke er inkludert. Det førte til noen skuffelser for oss. Du må betale ekstra for wifi, man får ikke badehåndkle til solsengene, og baren for all inclusive-gjester stenger kl 23. Etter det må du betale for drinker. Drinkene må all inclusive-gjester blande selv, med ulike sorter brus eller appelsinjuice, da det kun er noen sorter alkohol du får i glasset bak baren før kl 23. Vi hadde heller ikke tilgang på vann etter at baren stengte. Vi fikk heller ikke air-condition inkludert, da det ikke settes i gang før det blir varmere på natta. Vi måtte derfor sette opp døra på natta, og hadde problemer med en del mygg på soverommet! Hotellet har ikke en egen strand. Stranden nedenfor er offentlig og derfor ikke ryddet og var stygg og forsøplet. Vi brukte ikke tid der, men regner med man må betale for solsengene der, siden den ikke tilhører hotellet. Maten var helt OK, og hotellets personale vennlig. Uteområdet er veldig fint, og det var alltid ledige solsenger ved bassenget da vi var der i begynnelsen av mai. Underholdningsteamet sto for aktiviteter og show gjennom dagen og kvelden. Restauranten har bord ute i andre etasje som er nydelig å spise ved i solnedgang! Et annet pluss er at rommene ble stelt fint og vi fikk rene håndklær hver dag. Vi savnet mer støyisolering og innsyn fra motorveien, da den er tett inntil hotellet. Sjøen er rett over motorveien. Vi føler nok vi betalte for mye til at vi er godt fornøyd med oppholdet.

Good

Initially, I wrote a ‘negative’ review about this hotel, however, before we left the hotel manager approached me in an attempt to find out what was wrong and solve it. I’ll start with the good about this hotel which include the staff, the food which on the whole is varied and tasty, and the location. Although I can imagine in summer it is hard to get a sun bed, in October, we managed to get a sun bed throughout the day. Also, the pool is a good size, although cold in October (which is to be expected). The main issue we had during this holiday was our room, we paid for an upgraded room through our travel company but were given an old room that is due to be refurbished this winter. The manager explained that this should not have happened and to speak to the travel company we booked through. Also, we had an issue with the sun bed timing as the hotel changed the time where you can leave a towel from 08:30 to 09:00 without telling anyone which caused confusion. This was due to the man around the pool not communicating this. The reason I deleted my initial review and posted this one is because the manager at this hotel made an effort to seek me out and attempt to solve the issue that we had. I would like to thank the hire manager for doing this as usually management do not want to know. Also, a small complaint but we found that food was cold more than once (usually the rice). Overall, I would stay here again once the renovation work has been completed as the majority of the staff are welcoming and couldn’t do enough for you. Especially the manager in the restaurant and the girl with the long dark hair.

Brilliant

We stayed at the Oceanis from 29th Sept until 6 October and had a fabulous time. We stayed in room 121 on first floor overlooking the Spa pool. The room was lovely and a decent size, bathroom with walk in shower, and quite big. All very modern, massive double bed, very pleased with it. The staff could not do enough for you threy were very helpful knew what drinks we wanted when we went to the bar, restaurant immaculate always someone on the door to hand out gloves to you so you could get your own food without touching handles anyone else had touched. We did stayby pool couple days and yes you could not leave beds till 830, but we liked to go over road to the beach, just a 2 min walk. Went into Old town 10 euros in taxi well worth it. We had beautiful sunshine every day not a cloud in the sky except 1 day then they vanished around noon. Met some wonderful people. All in all we would definately recommend this hotel. Someone did say that they had only modernished rooms up to the second floor so maybe thats why ours was lovely. Entertainment was ok most people were dancing and singing. Dont be put off by anyone its great.

Not 4 star unless you pay for superior rooms

I don’t know who decided this was a 4 star hotel. Unless you pay for the superior rooms you are put in a 2 star room with no duvet (!! It was October and cool nights) floors held together with sellotape and grout so dirty that we actually mistook it for being grey until we looked a little closer. If you are advertising as a 4 star then the MINIMUM expectation is a 4 star room, if you want some 5 star rooms that people pay extra for then I can understand that-but you shouldn’t have to pay extra to receive the 4 star quality advertised. Food - repetitive and bland. You wouldn’t starve but that’s about it. It wasn’t knock your socks off great-such a shame as I love Greek food normally. Location - ok, close to airport and Rhodes Town. Taxis cheap and easily available, main road outside the hotel is BUSY all of the time but this did not particularly bother me-although something to consider if you were planning on taking small children. Entertainment- non existent whilst we were there. Pool was cold. Room 424 a death trap…see photos. Moved to room 442 after speaking to reception…it was not much better quite frankly. All in all this hotel looks pretty from the front and the lobby is refurbished, but otherwise is severely lacking considering the star rating. I’ve stayed in nicer Butlins chalets!
