Jeg, barn, svigerbarn og barnebarn (4 og 7 år) var veldig fornøyd med alt, flott område, flotte bassenger, en nydelig langrunn strand, fantastiske og delikate all inclusive buffer med noe for alle, hyggelig personale, og et fantastisk team på området som hadde aktiviteter gjennom hele dagen for dem som måtte ønske det, de fikk oss alle til å føle oss velkommen (benyttet oss av flere aktiviteter) showene på kvelden var midt i blinken for barnebarna. En plass vi garantert kommer tilbake til, ble en fantastisk ferie med gode minner.

Lokasjonen, rett ved havet

Service nivået var svært dårlig, rommene og fasilitet var litt eldre. Rengjøring var ikke bra. Masse døde og levende insekter overalt. Trapper i stort set overalt, veldig vanskelig å komme til alt mulig hvis man har barnevogn.

Betjeningen var serviceminded, spesielt servitørene i restaurant og bar

Var langt fra forventet standard. Maks 3 stjerners mens dette skulle være 5 stjerner. Maten var ok men lite variasjon. Kun ost og skinke pluss div syltetøy som pålegg til frokost de fleste dager. mye frukt og grønt, men det var f.eks flere dager med overmodne jordbær. På nettsiden til Apollo stod det at hotellet hadde hummer en kveld i uka, de hadde kreps en kveld. Lekeplassen var stengt helt til nest siste dag. Barnebassenget var stengt hele oppholdet😞

Value for money

The hotel was last minute choice as everything else of the offered options was already booked, but we were lucky to find Olympian Village because we had the best time post COVID. The hotel staff and the animation team are doing a great job. Our room was close to the beach and main facilities, always clean and recently upgraded.

Best vacation ever.

We found a special offer online and booked last minute. I never thought our holiday could be more relaxing. We stayed in the 5000 block of rooms, behind the spa center and near the mini market. The room was nice, clean and spacious. Check-in was a breeze, at the reception they informed us about everything and the porter Adam was extremely kind and helpful with our luggage. The food was very tasty and we especially enjoyed the Greek night at the restaurant Olympia. The spa center is a dream, we both chose to have the "affusion" massage and we felt totally rejuvenated after. All in all perfect value for money.

Terrible food

All inclusive food package was terrible. Cold buffet food boring, uninspired and lacked variety throughout the week. Same with hot food, with the added frustration that the food was always only ever served warm at best. Quality of all the food was poor and cheap, not what you’d expect from an advertised premium resort. Great example was the Brussel sprouts on offer as a vegetable one evening, then were recycled as a cold starter option for the next 3 daysđŸ€ź Dessert buffet had the same cheap artificial flavouring brought in desserts everyday, lazy chefs with poor planning. Only saving grace was the fresh fruit. Sorry but won’t be returning to your resorts for a 3rd time

Poor Customer Service

This was, definitely not deserving of the five-star status. My partner and I have stayed in many five-star hotels and this did not compare. The hotel was clean and the bungalow we stayed in was pleasant and felt very private. The facilities were limited - only one shop selling mainly clothes and a few shops a short walk away. The food was very repetitive and, as we stayed for a week, we could only have a choice of one restaurant, outside the main all-inclusive restaurant. We only booked for a week, as I suffered from a very bad skin condition last year and we wanted to trial how I coped in the sun because sun. There was a long beach and we were at the far end. We noticed some gazebos which would offer me excellent shade if I became too hot. We looked around and there were no signs to say that there was a charge so we used one. Later that day, a man came around to take payment so we asked him how much they cost. He spoke very little English but managed to tell us, "1 euro." We offered to pay but he did not take the money but instead took out a receipt book and asked me to sign. He did not give me a copy of the receipt, this happened for 4 days. The next day we asked again, to make sure we were understanding and he rang the hotel reception - they did not understand what we were asking either. We gave him 5 euros and thought that we had paid. On the fourth day, we asked again and he rang reception; when we were told that the gazebo would cost 30 euros per day. We now realised that we had accrued a 120 euro bill. We complained, on the basis that they should have signs to tell you there is a charge and that the man giving out receipts should be able to speak better English. The lady deputy manager said, "Well 1 euro does not sound anything like 30 euros." I could only conclude that she was either accusing us of lying or being stupid. She offered to let us have that day for free. We had only used the gazebo for about 2 hours and moved, instantly, when we realised the confusion. She kept blaming us and saying it was our fault. She refused to give us any concession apart from the one free day when we had hardly used it. In the end, after a lot of going around in circles and her saying it was totally our own fault, she even threatened legal action, I insisted on speaking to the manager. At this point, they agreed to only charge us for two days. The customer service was disgraceful, I had told her that I would pay something, as a compromise, but I didn't see why we had to pay so much money when there were no signs and our enquiries were not understood.

Great stay

This review is aimed at "sun-pool-beach-do-nothing" people ;) As a family of 4 we got two bungalows, next to each other (good!). A plus for the hotel is that we got them as soon as possible (around noon, long before standard 3pm - also good). Paid for private shared pool, in order to avoid noise at the main pools (some people like loud music and animation team in action, we don't) and the usual 6-7am "towel reservations" of sunbeds. Our bungalows were in almost ideal place - only few steps to the beach, far away from noise, in mostly silent part of the hotel (the other Aldemar hotel is closed). Beach is large, clean and different every part of day - calm and warm in the mornings, with some wind and waves in the evening, which was refreshing. There was always a lot of free sunbeds and gazebos, at least in the end of august (maybe also the closed part of the resort is the reason). Regarding food, we were quite satisfied - we really liked long opening hours. During our stay both large buffet restaurants were open, so people spread nicely. I think adding some variation would be good (my problem was with anonymous 'fish' meat), but it didn't bother us much - we always had something to eat and it was always tasty (especially desserts) We did not try the a la carte restaurants, mainly because the rules for these are always complicated - compared to 'easy' buffet restaurants. We had some drinks in Cozy bar in the evenings and on our way back listened to the piano guy in Marina. There are few shops on the premises (main building and in Agora) and one just in the front of the hotel. Bikes and carts could be rented in the middle of the hotel. There are three larger pools which we did not use much, all of them with drinks-only minibar. Food for pool/beach goers was served in Ambrosia. The restaurants are generally quite noisy, as this is mainly family hotel, widely used by Greek families with lots of free-range ;-) children. Car rental desk is conveniently in the reception building, which we used for few trips - Olympia, Chlemoutsi, Voidokilia etc. The only problem we had (and the reason for -1 star in my rating, otherwise it'd be 5) was when some arrogant people decided to use our private pool. Although reported to reception/guest relations twice and being assured it won't happen again, it did not stop - which is for me failure of the hotel staff, being unable to enforce their own rules. Otherwise, we were quite satisfied and would recommend to other "sun-pool-beach-do-nothing" people.
