It is a run down hotel with the most awful staff. No one there speaks a word of English. They just glare at you. The manager gets hammered and harasses guests. The pool is full of mould. I would rather eat poo than eat the garbage they pass off as "Food". There's a gross dirt road that makes everything dusty and to top it off. The other guests are the worst.

Writing this to emphasise our first day of being in this hotel as we arrived today. First impressions were good although there is no reference to parklands hotel and pool, which is what we booked, it's actually parklands aparthotel. The rooms are really great no complaints at all so far. Checking in was pai less although I ugh the key cards they gave us seem to used only for plugging in to the socket to enable electors and serve no other purpose. My key for was given to me in bits because the wooden number part had broken off. Took me a while to. Find the correct lift as there are different lifts for different areas which wasn't totally explained. So the real issues are that the hotel, in a ski resort, has no ski storage as would be expected and as I have had at literally every resort accommodation I have ever stayed at. We were directed to the I. House ski rental shop, which is very small so would expect very little choice. When we asked the guy whether there was an option to store skis here he was rude and said of course not. Therefore the options left are to find storage outside the hotel at 10 lev a day so approximately another 30 pounds per person. To me this is a big issue and a pain. Then we ate dinner which was included, and what a shock. So few choices and food was rarely if ever refreshed. Guests were left waiting as the two main dishes, Margherita pizza and tomato pasta were gone. The salad was nice but apart from being asked for our room number we did not have any other interactions at all. No offer of a drink even if paid for, nothing. The location of the hotel also appears to be in a weird location. The direct path to the town seems blocked off and yiu have to take a detour rather than a direct route. Not a big problem but strange. Stayed at three other places in Bansko and all were better I would say.

What a fantastic hotel! At first glance a little more basic than we expected but the facilities and staff made it exceptional. We stayed in a 6 person apartment and a 2 person room which was a great size. The sofa bed was not great but the beds were all really comfy and the bathrooms/ en suites were great. There was a great range of food both breakfast and dinner. We have 6 children who all managed to find something despite being fussy! The pool is enormous and the dis facilities were great. The free shuttle bus to and from the ski gondola was a god send and the drivers always remembered whose skis were who’d and even who was still up the mountain! A super cheap bar and comfy sofa area to relax in. We loved it and will be back next year!

We were 4. The room is very big and has kitchen fridge and everything you need but it's not decorated and miss tables or drawers to put your stuff. Also in the bathroom no shelf or drawers at all. Dining room is too small and quite depressing... food very basic and not much choice but good. We took half board. There was apparently a supplement to pay for new years eve that we were not told about in advance, and we had to argue lonv time and wait more than 30 minutes to be sitted. Not pleasant at all. Hotel is 10 min walk from town center which is doable. It is about 15 min walk to gondola and they offer free shuttle to the gondola which is nice. There is nice interior pool with jacuzzi space, sauna and steam room which are nice-again need a small touch to be very good. For example- offer towels to gusts and don't hide them and give only if requested. Gym is very basic. Staff are not very welcoming. Only 1 key per room which is really annoying as we come and go in different hours. All in all I would rate it low 3 stars as it does have good potential and facilities but it is not invested. It is my 2nd time in bansko and there are better hotels for same price range. Will go somewhere else next time.
