Det beste med dette hotellet er Hagen og pool områdene. Hotellet bærer preg av å være slitt og fremstår som litt shabby. Mugglukt overalt. Værst i 1 etg. Manager prøvde så godt han kunne å tilrettelegge for oss, men inntrykket kunne ikke rettes opp. Håndklemafiaen var på plass før 7 am og det var til slutt ikke senger til de som ønsket det. Personalet burde lære mer om å smile til kundene . Dette gjelder selvfølgelig ikke alle, men mange nok til at du legger merke til det. Stor turistmaskin og frokosten var masete og lokalene virket ikke freshe. Finn et annet 😡 fortjener maks 3 stjerner.

Flotte store rom. Fine hager, fantastisk frokost. Stranden er OK, ikke den fineste, men det er ingenting galt med den. Noen få områder i nærheter hvor man kan handle og spise. Leide en jeep, og veiene er OK, men så en dødsulykke. Ta med kikkert for å se øglene helt ytterst på Karon. Hotellet OK, trenger litt kjærlighet og omsorg her og der.
Lovely stay walking distance from the beach
Stayed at Thavorn palm beach for 5 days during our trip to Phuket. Having read a few negative reviews about the older room I was a bit skeptical but I was pleasantly surprised with how wonderful everything was. Our room was in the B wing ground floor. It is closest to the pools and also the restaurant. It was perfect. The petting zoo is a hit with kids. Its open 2 times a day for an hour each. The play room is another way to engage kids when you want to relax at the resort. There are some extra perks when booking directly from the hotel website so do compare prices when booking.
3* at best, shocking customer service, never again!
Dirty, awful customer service and 3* at best! We booked this hotel as part of a big Thailand trip, and it was the most expensive hotel we visited. Despite this, it was hands down the worst. The rooms are filthy, with mould all over the bathrooms and generally have lots of wear and tear (marks on walls etc)- this is fine but not what you expect paying the big bucks for an apparently 4* hotel. The hotel is being renovated and even if you’re not staying near the construction site, it’s extremely noisy and a complete eye and ear sore whilst sat by the pool. Not sure why this wasn’t mentioned when booking? Contended with being next to a noisy road, it really isn’t a relaxing place to be. The hotel site in general is a bit of a tip as you can see from my photo, walking through a construction site like this would certainly not be allowed in England The food at the hotel isn’t great apart from breakfast, but other than that I would eat offsite. The customer service team for this hotel is what sets it apart though, it is absolutely abysmal. We rated our stay ‘poor’ on the customer survey and nothing was mentioned, no questions asked. I would have been happy to give my feedback. When we got home I emailed the hotel regarding my issues and they ignored me for days and basically told me to get lost. In the end I was offered a free upgrade if I returned (which I won’t be!) This hotel is no where near 4*. I would seriously consider looking at other nearby options as I wish I had done!
Overbooked and bumped us to another hotel
We saw this hotel online and loved the look of it so thought we would splash out for the last few days of our holiday and treat ourselves to a lovely relaxed stay. Unfortunately that stay never got to happen. The first issue came a few months after we booked (we booked just under a year in advance). Our flight times were changed and we would now be leaving one day earlier than we had planned through no fault of our own. We had seen that the hotel offered no cancellations when we booked but since we were only needing to edit our stay not cancel we got in touch with them to see if they could amend our booking. Nope. They were adamant that we would not be allowed to cancel the last night of our stay even though the situation was out of our hands. We found their attitude disappointing and very different from the level of service we received from other hotels across Thailand but oh well, we knew the terms when we booked no big deal. We heard nothing more from them outside of arranging an airport transfer until we were in the airport waiting for our flight to Phuket to depart, at which time they sent us a message on WhatsApp to let us know they had overbooked, only just realized, and as a result would be sending us to their sister hotel for the duration of our stay. Not the news you want to hear while in the departure lounge. And the hotel they had moved us to was not a hotel we would ever have booked ourselves. Yes it was a conparible star rating (and they would still be taking the exact same amount of money from us) but it was a completely different style of hotel to what we had been looking for and would not have given us the relaxed break we were hoping for. So with 40 minutes to spare we had to scramble to find another place to stay and to get them to agree to cancel our booking and refund us. As it happened we were able to find a lovely hotel and save some money in the process but it was a horrible experience. To spend so much time researching hotels, book so far in advance then be bumped with literally a few hours notice is hugely disappointing. Furthermore the irony of not being able to cancel a night of our stay while they could cancel the entire thing on the day was not lost on us! From my point of view the bare minimum you should be able to expect from a hotel is that when you book and pay for a room that room is there for you when you arrive and as we did not get that I simply couldnt give this hotel any stars. Plus the poor service and the fact that this mistake was even able to happen raises serious questions about how well this hotel is run. I would certainly not recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a stress free break or who is booking in advance!
