Beautiful area, seaside , islands, hill, all real treat. Staff superfriendly but not very proactive . Food in restaurant is ok, nothing special. Breakfast however is superb. Room size is fine but needs refurbishment. Bathroom is so old you never can get it really clean anymore, too worn out. Next door golfcourse is great but is not really part of the deal which is a shame but I did survive😂
Very friendly staff, nice hotel
Very nice hotel, staff are fantastic..from the first step I took in until we left, they were extremely kind.. the breakfast was also very good, rich in choice and good coffee. The only negative thing I have to say about this hotel was their choice for shower gel.. eucalyptus shower gel and shampoo.. a bit particular.. so if you don't like eucalyptus, bring your own shampoo ! Maybe they will change that (I hope so).
Top level hotel, restaurants, golf course, spa treatment, horse riding, walking--country side
This place is on a large island connected with Stockholm with a bridge. There is bus connection. It is an upmarket country club offering high quality recreation to its visitors. There are two major restaurants, one in the hotel itself, with a wonderful terrace overlooking the lush golf course, the other one in a nearby separate old villa (the country club proper) with an "orangery" for sumptuous meals. Food is excellent and the wine cellar impressive, service very friendly, surroundings enchanting. Many of the dinner guests on a weekend seem to know each other and the waiters. The atmosphere is very friendly--but it certainly helps if you belong to the crowd or is acquanted with it.
Charming rural destination close to the sea
The main hotel does not have the elegance of some of the Swedish country houses (Slott), but I liked the rustic buildings and there is a nice view over the golf course. We cycled down to the sea and took a swim to make the most of the June sunshine. The spa treatments are expensive, but the hotel has invested in a very welcoming modern spa-sauna area with hot tub outside. There is also a small gym that I used. The food and breakfast was generally very good. My feedback to the Management would be to improve to the patio/outdoor area by the restaurant (decking maybe), as the views are lovely. Also, some better bikes (the ones we borrowed were from a different era). The surrounding Archipelago area is Sweden at it's best.
We were there for a dinner party and we were impressed with everything. Room had Rituals amenities, small tv, decent bathroom. There's an ok gym, sauna (but we didn't use it), possibility of booking massage, pool table. Breakfast was delicious, lots of options. A little too short time maybe but lovely.
