Første stopp på vegen

Vi ankom hotellet etter en lang natt/ dags reise fra Oslo. Vi var på 14 dagers rundtur på Sri Lanka. Vi ble møtt av et vennlig personale som tok i mot våre kofferter, men rom kunne de ikke gi oss før kl. 14.00. Vi ankom like over 10.00. Vi var trette og lei etter ei lang reise, så det var en nedtur. Vi satte oss i den vesle resepsjonen og ventet. Etter en stund spurte vi om vi kunne få spise lunch, og da åpnet de restauranten for oss. Dessverre hadde de kun indiske retter klar på menyen. Sterkt krydret. Det andre på menyen var ikke klar ennå. Chicken curry med ris var alternativet, og det bestilte vi. Da vi fikk retten, fikk vi nesten ikke en matbit ned. Den var sterk. Det som verre var, var at kyllingen viste seg være noen knokler med minimum kjøtt på. Noen spiste litt ris, andre lot lunchen ligge. De prøvde å kompensere med noen Frenchs fries, men ikke helt lunch ble det av det. Rommene var store og komfortable. Det var litt lytt, så når de spilte levende musikk utfor hotellet om kvelden, var det som om de satt å spillte rommet. Moderne dusj. Klimaanlegget var bra. Sengene like så. Frokost var enkel. Kokt (meget kokt!) egg. Ingen bacon. Litt syltetøy (som gikk tomt). Det var det hele når det gjaldt pålegg. Brød var loff, småboller etc. Så var det ris og sauser i alle farger og fasonger. Det var hyggelig personale. Rent og pent.

Most terrible quarantine hotel for any one

Hotel is dishonest, technically an outright theft from the guest of mine.Do not recommend for local residents or tourists to quarantine at this place. They asked us to pay in-advance quarantine and confirmed its 7days for Resident.A day before arrival they said its 14 days. surely we have no way of changing at the last minute. Once booked in PCR was carried for 5 people almost all were positive (either hotel contaminated or funny game going on) so we insisted a second PCR from different hospital called Navawaloka Hospital. pcr become negative. yet held her at hostage in the hotel with various excuses. First day and fifth day she could not have order dinner, she went hungry because they said she was too late to order. she ordered at 7pm. She was sent to a corvid care hotel, on 9th day and hotel charged full 14days bill. total was over Rs 255,000/= Do not become a victim of this hotel fraud.

It is just like comming home !

I've been staying at Fairway, over and over again, during the last months , on my visits to Colombo. The quality of accommodation surpasses most 5 star hotels in the area. And the exceptional service and the hospitality of Aeshan, Fernando, Avinga, Maduupa, Isuru, and Andrew, and the rest of the team whose names not mentioned, are a testimony, to why I return. Stay in Colombo

We’ve stayed at Fairway Colombo and were extremely happy with our experience. Rooms were clean and tidy, easy access to everything since the hotel is located in the heart of Colombo. Peaceful environment and staff were friendly. We would like to thank the team for making our stay wonderful. Even though we missed most names we would like to highlight few we remembered; Andrew, Asanka and Rukshan from Housekeeping. Hope to see you soon.

Lacking some essentials

Hotel is fairly good. Rooms and clean and tidy though the size of their basic room category is small. Only issue was no food available in house. Not a single restaurant was operated in the morning hours and I was informed by the front office that the food court will also be open after 11h00. So we ordered our breakfast through Uber delivery which was a bit annoying. VERY IMPORTANT : If you go there in your own vehicle, please do make sure that the basement parking is available. Otherwise no parking available in the proximity of the hotel.
