I absolutely loved everything about the hotel. The staff, the food, the activities, the pool etc. I recommended this place to everyone and I thought it was the best hotel I've ever stayed in. I was planning to write a 5* review until I found that money were missing from my bag which was left in my room.... it's only 10€ but still.......... i read another recent review on google and another person also had jewellery and money missing on last day. Can't believe it....... such a shame it's a great hotel but unbelievable housekeepers......
Firstly, on arrival to the hotel, my friend & I were absolutely blown away by the welcoming service from the reception. We had The Reserve option so had a separate check in area which was very lovely. On arrival, everything got explained to us & we had a tour of the grounds which is just absolutely beautiful & spectacular!! Over the next couple of days, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves & only left the hotel for one activity which was included in The Reserve option. I cannot emphasise how amazing all the staff were, special shout out to Sara, Orlando, Alexis & some others I cannot remember. Food & drink were amazing with lots of options available.
A wonderful 12 days in Paradisus
A wonderful stay at a beautiful hotel. Firstly just want to say a massive thank you to the staff for all being so friendly, welcoming and helpful, it really made the holiday extra special. A special mention to Sara in the Ginger bar for her beautiful coffee and for always going above and beyond! She truly is a gem. The hotel decor is gorgeous and it was spotless the entire time we were there. Probably the prettiest hotel I’ve stayed in. Lots of restaurants to choose from and great options on every menu. Me and my husband are both vegan and every restaurant catered for this or altered dishes to make them vegan. Only annoying thing was having to ask for soya yoghurt every day and not having it accessible. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would return!
One to remember
Visiting Paradisus Gran Canaria has certainly been one to remember, for all good reasons. First impressions, the hotel smelt divine and Eva (apologies if I got her name wrong) was extremely welcoming upon our arrival. The hotel itself is modern, very clean and spacious. There is an option to upgrade to ‘reserve’ however we didn’t choose this option. We chose the premium double room which suited us as a couple perfectly. Rooms come with a safe, google chrome cast (not that we used it), shampoo, conditioner, body wash and body lotion, steamer, hairdryer, USB charging ports in the room, replenished the fridge with drinks once a day and finally a lovely touch – during the evening after you got ready, the maids would exchange your used towels and give chocolates. Good number of storage/hangers for clothes also. The hotel has several restaurants, Buffet, Café, Italian, Local Cuisine, Seafood, Pool bar, Mediterranean, and finally seafood. The local cuisine you have to book when you arrive to make sure you get a slot, this is adults only. Every restaurant was lovely, our favourite being Italian. The inclusive package includes good variety of meals and premium alcohol with the choice to purchase champagne, certain wines and couple dishes on each menu. Not that you need to because the standard is just as nice! We were impressed with the quality considering we have been to other hotels with all inclusive and the food has been shocking. What really amazed us was the activities the hotel offer. We were given a sheet with the weekly activities when we arrived which included yoga, workouts, weekly cinema screening under the stars, swimming aerobic, Latin dancing, wine tasting and evening singers / bands. Probably a lot more to offer however my purpose was to do absolutely nothing 😊. My boyfriend went to the 24hr access gym every morning and the facilities were decent. We don’t have children but there was kids activities throughout the day also. It was lovely to see others enjoying though. We did go to the spa which costs 15 euros each. They have a sauna, steam, pool, cold shower and jet shower. There are options for massages etc if you want. To be picky, there was a couple of things we thought could be better – ❗️The signage on food was missing on a few occasions, especially in the morning with the syrup options. ❗️There aren’t enough seats upstairs to watch the live singers! ❗️When we checked out at the front desk, the man with glasses wasn’t the friendliest and when enquiring about a changing/shower room as we had a night flight, he simply said we don’t have. Firstly, we’ve never been to a hotel where they don’t supply these facilities, so we thought that was odd. Secondly, thank God we visited the spa and realised we could use this area to get changed, he certainly didn’t make this known to us! Annoyingly, we had to pay again to use the showers so thought we’d make the most of it and go earlier for the facilities. Probably a way to make extra money! Apart from that, we honestly had the best time enjoying the beautiful pool with not a cloud in the sky all 7 days, speaking to hotel staff which were all lovely - except one (mentioned above), walking along the beach and visiting local areas. We fell in love with Gran Canaria and this hotel, we will be back in the future. My mum even wants to visit in 2024 now! On a separate note whilst we were away, we visited these locations and would go back to all 3 - ➡️Lopesan Baobab hotel for the Akata restaurant for a birthday celebration (curried prawns were amazing) – 12/15 mins from hotel ➡️Amondes beach – clear water, 12 euros for 2 beds and a umbrella for the day – 40 mins from hotel ➡️Ibiza blue marlin gran canaria – chilled vibe with dj and rooftop pools, nice lunch spot and relax during the day - 12/15 mins from hotel
Excellent Hotel but food needs improvement
Stayed at the Hotel for six nights. The Hotel is spotless including the stunning grounds and pool areas . The decor and fittings ect to the rooms was very nice . We was given a mountain view rooms but actually looked at another Hotel and car park . All of the staff was very professional and friendly and hard working . Breakfast and lunch was fine . Evening meals not so good including the Privilege restaurants Long waiting time for meals and very little choice and small portions . I would definitely stay again if the restaurants improved .
