Stunning rooms

Stayed in this hotel in May 2023. ROOMS The apartments at this hotel are stunning. Large rooms, massive balcony, all the utensils you need. Modern decor, great shower and comfortable beds. Rooms are cleaned most days and left spotless. The apartments are more 4 or 5 star than the 3 star they have been given Note: you require to pay a fee for use of the safe. SERVICE Lovely staff, in particular the night we arrived we were starving and the restaurant was shut, the gentleman on reception had already had the chef prepare food for us and he brought it to our room along with bottles of water, very thoughtful and we were so grateful. It was also my birthday during the stay and the hotel gifted us a bottle of Prosecco which was a lovely extra. The waitresses in the restaurant were brilliant. Staff are always busy in the hotel, even when the lifeguard didn’t have anyone to supervise in the pool he began cleaning the beds and tidying them up. So why not 5 star? Unfortunately the food lets this place down. Breakfast buffet was fine, and something to be expected in a 3 star hotel. The first time we dined in the restaurant we were advised because the hotel was quiet it was à La carte. I have no issue with that and agree that food should not be wasted. However the menu was very reduced. Only two options for starters and two options for mains. This happened three times we ate there and on all occasions the mains choice was either fish or pork chop. The first night we were served jalapeño poppers as a starter and they were still frozen on the inside. The chips served alongside the pork were not cooked properly and still raw. Despite leaving the majority of the food the waiter (not the usual, brilliant waitress), didn’t ask us how the meal was, or check if everything was ok. On the last night we were there the hotel was busy and a buffet was put on for dinner and it was much better. I am mainly disappointed at the lack of variety on the other nights. However we ate dinner down on the beach in one of the restaurants and it was delicious and inexpensive. Overall I would recommend this hotel, but advise to go at busier times to guarantee the buffet dinner to really make the most of this hotel.

Great relaxing holiday

Beautiful apartments in a great location with stunning views. Recently returned from Cordial Magec. Everything was perfect. Friendly and helpful staff, very well equipped large apartments, everything needed for self-catering plus 2 large balconies. Beds were extremely comfortable, and everywhere was so clean. We stayed half board, buffet breakfast and evening meal. We're vegetarian, so we were able to pre-order from a menu for the following evening. The food was delicious, with a good choice of dishes, thank you, Chef. The gardens, fresh water pool, and outdoor areas were beautiful, very clean, and well kept. If you have a late check out, inform reception the day before. There is no courtesy room, but if available, you can, for an additional charge, extend your current room to the time of your pick up. We would definitely recommend Cordial Magec and can not wait to return.

Great 5 day break

Absolutely amazing apartments couldn’t fault them cleaned regularly towels changed frequently lovely friendly staff especially Abram in reception the pool is so big spotless and clean sun beds around the pool are also nice n comply and very clean

Good could be great

When we arrived we were delighted, lovely hotel, great room and beautiful pool. We had booked half board on the basis of a buffet restaurant, this was the case at breakfast, not a massive buffet but certainly enough choice. Evening meal we were given a menu- no buffet- we were advised there would be one on Saturday (this was Tuesday). 2 choices for starter salad or fish, main course was fish or meat, chicken served 1 night, steak on 2 nights and pork on 4 nights, each night the cake of the day had not been defrosted properly. When asked at the reception if I enjoyed my stay, I replied yes however the food was very poor, seems there was not enough people in the hotel to have a buffet, it happens at breakfast why not dinner? Not really many places to eat outside the hotel. It has to be said that the hotel staff are fabulous and cannot do enough for you. Room service is not daily but only 3 times a week

Unexpected great experience

A very quiet clean and modern apartments. 10 minutes walking distance from the beach. Absolutely warm and nice staff. We want to thank Monica her kindly welcome and personality at reception and Elizabeth for her great mojitos and always can do service with a big smile. Lifeguard has the utmost humble humanity approach to all customers. Thanks for being super Cordial. We hope to return soon.
