Fin beliggenhet men ikke helt 5 stjerner
Vi hadde et fortreffelig opphold på hotellet i 10 dager. Beliggenheten er flott om du ønsker nærhet til stranden. Flott bassengområde og god mat på alle restaurantene. Prisene står ikke helt i stil til servicenivået, opplevde både at bestillinger ble glemt og at ting tok veldig lang tid. Frokosten er veldig bra med alt du måtte ønske fra buffeten. Hotellet hadde også egne senger på stranden.
Pleasant large hotel
We stayed only 1 night at Story, front of house staff were excellent, rooms spacious and clean and grounds had lovely plants flowers and fragrances. Food offering in buffet was average, nothing special. Pool was pleasant but music choice quite annoying and a little too loud. Spa looked lovely and staff sounded helpful, sadly fully booked for us to review for a 1 day stay. Great base to tour the island.
The stuff gives a wonderful service, especially Laurel, Neige and Peggie. The staff here is so kind and lovely. They helped us with everything we needed and were very thoughtful. Thank to them, we had a great time!
A 3.9 star hotel trying to be a 5 star
We recently stayed in one of the beach villas for the first part of our honeymoon The good: The villas are nice, with very nice pools The staff are very friendly. The breakfast staff are trying hard to provide a good experience for the guests. Little things like trying to remember room numbers and preferences The location is beautiful with a mountain backdrop and directly on the beach The bad: A lot of small issues with the facilities popped up all the time. When we checked in, the AC was not functioning. On day two, the lighting in the pool stopped working. One of the night lights next to the bed was dead. Many lamps lighting the pathways outside were dead. At a certain point you get tired of reporting broken things and just let them be. Seems the overall maintenance and/or material choices in the construction cause a lot to break down. Breakfast service can be a little chaotic depending on the day. This is most likely just a staffing to guest ratio issue I guess. Some days were better than others. I can understand that especially after COVID there has been a lot of turnover in the hospitality industry, but many staff members at the restaurants claimed to be fairly new and lacked familiarity with dishes and could not give a lot of information about what a dish was/contained/etc. This sometimes resulted in disappointment after ordering something and not getting what was expected, especially given the prices. This could be a training issue. The ugly: On the second to last night we were there both myself and my partner got diarrhea after eating at one of the restaurants. We let the front desk know the next morning. We also let the person who called our room to “survey our experience” what happened. No one apologized or extended any sort serious concern for us in any of these interactions. The hotel has a lot of potential but it was very clear to us that this is not a 5 star resort in its current operational state.
An amazing vacation
Wonderful hotel, great food and fantastic staff. The location right on the beach was spectacular. Our accommodations were first class and the level of service was excellent and very friendly. Would definitely return.
