Fint hotell - for mye bråk rundt bassenget
Her fikk man fred og ro, i fantastiske omgivelser, uten noe ekstra kostnad!
Absolutely amazing!Stunning view and location.
Me and my partner just came back from Majorca today after 5 days. What a holiday! The hotel was absolutely perfect. The view from our room was stunning. The sea was so close you could fell asleep with the sound of the waves. The staff was always helpful and nice and the food was really good and had plenty of choices. Definitely one of the best 3stars hotel I’ve ever experienced. The hotel has lovely terraces where you can sunbathe and a tiny beach where the sea water is just amazing. Or if you prefer you can enjoy the withe sandy beach just few minutes away from the hotel. The location is also very good since is very close to a lots of shops and restaurants. Yes, the building and the rooms are a bit old and basic but, If you are not so interested in fancy forniture and design this is absolutely the best place you can go. We will definitely come back soon!
Great value for money
This hotel is located just above the magaluf strip , up a very steep hill. We paid extra for room with sea view and the view is beautiful, especially in the morning. Hotel is fine. It's nothing fancy rooms could do with updating but its clean. Pool is small but does the job. And the area around the pool is not very big. Not enough sun beds at peak times. Restaurant is nice. Staff all friendly and helpful. Not the largest of selection of food available but enough to keep you going.. We stayed for 3 nights at this hotel, and enjoyed it allot. I think if you stayed for a week or longer the lack of sun beds and not huge variety of food would start to frustrate. But for our short break it was perfect for what we needed it for.. To summarise I'd say, clean hotel and polite staff. Food and drink fine.
If you can't stand a bit of noise....
….said the girl …" what are you doing in f Magaluf?" You see, that's where I went wrong. I thought I'd booked into an adults only hotel without realising an interpretation of that can also be an adolescents youth hostel holding its annual midnight shouting-down-corridors and door slamming pageant. But more of that later. We booked a week at the Florida on the assumption that it was in more of a residential area: somewhere a fair but comfortable distance from "The Strip" and cushioned with an ascent of what some described as "cardiac hill". And it was just that. On arrival, booked in and then taken next door to the annexe. "Its quieter here " we were told. And the room? Not like the pictures but somewhere a bit more basic but adequate for 2 people. A little fridge that hadn't been defrosted for years, a TV and a few basics. No kettle or cups but we'd brought our own anyway. A safe was extra but I'm of the opinion that we shouldn't be paying for them. Because if the room is bomb proof and they've hire staff who aren't prone to thieving then there shouldn't be any need for safes - which are being paid for because of a perceived fear factor instilled by - surprise, surprise, the hotels and tour companies themselves. And surely, the money they've made from them over the years has more than paid for them many times over by now. Come on. Just make them free. Makes me wonder if going all inclusive gets you treated as a second rate citizen. But anyway, to digress, the room had no aircon, just a ceiling fan - but we were forewarned of that in the other reviews. There was a wooden shutter so you could leave the main door open and get a bit of fresher sea air incoming but that then exposes you to the noise even more so. So you are stuffed either way. A sea view yes, but over the roof of another smaller annex and car park. But there were a lot of good points about the hotel too. The restaurant, the hard working staff and certainly the food was more than adequate. OK, its not the Las Vegas Hilton but your not paying for that. You get, in no particular order of importance, HP Sauce, a little library, designer towels. And the managers meet you at times of dining and maintained standards of dress code. Mostly. Some awards for outstanding go the reception team who sourced a mobility scooter for the good lady and let us charge it up in the reading area. Also letting us have a free standing fan from somewhere at no extra charge. Secondly, the pool bar team who didn't skimp on the measures and kept down the queues I've experienced at other hotels. Gold award to Isa for her smile, and helpfulness. I'm not over fond of Cruzacampo lager and would have paid a supplement if the bar had a better draft beer option though. As for the pool itself, I can only guess it was fine before the annexes were added and as a result, nowadays gets a bit busy. They say you can't reserve sunbeds but many did. If you weren't there by 9.30 you had no chance. Straw parasols are fixed so at certain times of the day the cramped conditions make it difficult to find shade if you can't move the sunbed without encroaching the space of other punters. But we were well satisfied for the most part and certainly the first few days were great. And then. The neighbours from hell arrived. I'm not one for altercations at 2am but finally had to go round and tell them to keep the noise down. And then I notice there's 4 staying in the room. So next morning I mention this at reception. "Should only be 2" he checks. I mention the confrontation and he advises me that the hotel has security and I should dial 9 in the event of a recurrence. So next night all is quiet and I can only presume they've been moved elsewhere. I mean, we could have asked to move but you lose the best part of day doing so and there's no guarantee the next influx will be any better. And by then it was the last night. Possibly the worst for noise we'd had all holiday. The girls and their beaus were back. So I dialled 9 and let it ring. For ages. And nobody came or answered over the next 20 minutes - probably dealing with another fracas elsewhere. I just watched the clock go round till dawn as various assortment of feral yobs and women came home on the hour, every hour. We had breakfast next morning and left. I felt at the time that the best bit of the holiday was the view from the taxi back window as we set off. I'm glad we hadn't booked for longer. But the thing is, since then, I've mellowed. All the bad parts are not the fault of the hotel so I'd have no hesitation about recommending it to anyone else. And perhaps if you are reading this in preparation to book here then please exercise consideration. Why should your idea of an holiday spoil mine? We were just unlucky.
