Small family run hotel with a great atmosphere
We just came back from our 9 days at Alinda hotel and definitely recommend this little family run hotel if you are looking for relaxation and tranquility. The best feature of Alinda hotel besides its prime location right at the sea is the hospitality of Anastasia and Adonis, the two sibblings running this hotel. They go above and beyond to meet everyone's requests and make you feel at home for your vacation. As for us, they definitely succeeded with their warm and honest personality. We had one of the rooms with sea view on the upper floor. The room was of a decent size and has a great balcony facing the fantastic sea. It gets heated up very quickly throughout the whole day but is equipped with a fan, a well-functioning air-con and a coffee/tea station. Even though I only rate the cleanliness upon arrival fair to good, for the rest of our stay the room service was great. Towels get changed every day if you wish too, bed linen get changed about every other day. Breakfast is great (you order from a menu) and Anastasia offers everything you can wish for: cereals, fresh orange juice, juice, tea, coffee, water, Greek salad, eggs in all kind of styles, bacon, Greek yoghurt, fresh fruit salad, watermelon and so on.....very very good breakfast and service at breakfast - Thank you! There is a well-equipped bar that is open all day and drinks and food are served at the small pebbled-beach too as well as sunbeds and umbrellas free of charge. The taverna of the hotel serves delicious and fresh food for lunch and dinner until late, we ate there almost every day twice a day. The few times we went somewhere else we decided at the end of the day that Alinda Taverna is better. Prices are decent. Service is great. On Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays Alinda Hotel organizes a Greek evening with live music. Thank you for a great holiday! If we ever come back to Leros, we will definitely stay at Alinda Hotel.
Just my type of place
1st visit to Leros and having done some research decided that this was the place for me. Booked 3 nights a good few months in advance to ensure I was able to get one of the sea view rooms. Arrived early on a ferry from Lipsi prepared to spend a few hours on the beach before being able to check in at 2pm however even through I arrived before10am I was given a warm welcome, offered a drink and informed that my room would be ready in 10 minutes. My room was a good size with decent shower room and equipped with everything I needed, good air con, fridge, tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer, decent wi fi, ample storage, mozzie machine & tablets. Cleaned well each morning and supplied with fresh towels, tea/coffe/biscuits replenished. Free sun beds on the beach opposite with beach service provided from the bar. Sun beds are used by non residents too so you do need to be down fairly early (before 10.30am) to secure one. The beach is made up of small pebbles but there is no need for beach shoes unless you have particularly sensitive feet! The road runs between the beach and hotel but this wasn't noisy or intrusive. A number of supermarkets, shops and tavernas within easy walking distance. The bus stop is close by and the hotel will always call a taxi if needed. Breakfast is excellent quality with lots if choice served between 8am - 10.30am @7€. All staff without exception were friendly, helpful and professional. The hotel has a traditional feel and some may say it would benefit from modernising - please don't change anything it's just perfect as it is! Already planning a return trip, just loved having an early morning swim before breakfast. Highly recommended,
A place to relax.
Lovely family run hotel, just a hop and a skip from a beach with beautiful clear, calm water. The family running the hotel are very helpful and can arrange taxis anywhere. The breakfasts are good with bread, fruit, yoghurt, salad, cheese, ham and if you want them eggs cooked anyway you want. If you want a quiet place to relax this is where to gi.
We stayed here for three nights having visited the hotel for a meal last year and liking the setting and hospitality. We initially booked a family room with partial see view however this room was really noisy being over a small carpark where people seems to gather and have loud conversations. We were offered two alternative rooms - one on the front with a full sea view and one on ground level at the back overlooking the garden. We opted for the latter as the room was bigger than those with a sea-view, its balcony had sun all afternoon and it was so much more peaceful. The room is basic but clean and has all the facilities you need for a short stay. The air-conditioning worked well and the fridge/coffee making facilities were very helpful. The hotel does have sunbeds on the beach but you do need to get up early to find free ones, we tended to go to the beach later in the afternoon when it was quieter. Good value for money, with a great bar and restaurant.
A nice holiday hotel
We stayed here for 3 nights. It is an old but well-kept hotel. It is located at the Alinda Bay. It has own restaurant and beach. The menu of the restaurant is so wide. we also satisfied from our room.
