Beliggenheden og flotte værelser og gode solsenge

Gulvvask på værelset i løbet af ugen. Nespressomaskine manglede ved ankomst og da den kom duede vores kapsler ikke, da det var en erhvervsmaskine. Alt for dyrt at tage en halv liter vand i minibar. Ville gerne have vist at det var billigere at købe en liter i poolbaren.

Det rum vi blev tilldelade natt två efter ett minst sagt dåligt rum natt 1. Och Frukosten!! Bästa frukosten.

Om en gruppresa kommer med 20 personer och har betalat in lika mycket för resan bör alla få likvärdiga rum.Det jag och min vän blev tilldelat( efter första katastrofnatten) rum 334 är minst den klassen på rum alla i gruppen bör ha fått.

Fantastiskt hotell på alla sätt. Vi blev uppgraderade.

Inte till hotellet men eftersom vi blev uppgraderade till detta hotell så var vi oförberedda på prisnivån.

Flott hotell, men dyrt

Vi fikk oppgradering fra dobbeltrom med fjellutsikt til bungalow med havutsikt. Bungalowen hadde flott utsikt med egen hageflekk med solsenger. Nydelig og variert frokost og middag. (Vi var der i to uker) Fin strand og generelt hotellområde. Kunne bestille dagligvarer, øl osv fra nærmeste supermarked (ca 7-8 min å gå) som ble levert på porten. Anbefales å kjøpe enkel lunsj og drikkevarer der da en 0,5l øl koster 5,5 euro og en club sandwich koster 14 euro (!) Eneste minuset sammen med prisene på hotellet er at enkelte ting bør oppdateres som feks air condition som i hvert fall vi slet med å finne en behagelig temperatur.

Bra - men ikke mer en det

Veldig bra servise, fantsatisk frokost, deilig med saltvann baseng / flott strand. Altfor høye priser for drinker. Italienske restaur. passer ikke for 6 stjern. - overvurdert!

Mixed Bag

Ok, let’s me start by saying that you will hear that this is a Five-Star resort. In fact, you will hear it over and over again. In my experience, a Five-Star resort doesn’t need to keep saying that they are a Five-Star resort. But, I digress. Here we go. The Good to Great 1) Absolutely breathtaking grounds - seriously. The view and the beach are just absolutely incredible 2) Excellent choice of pools - indoor freshwater, outdoor saltwater, and kiddie pool (small, but perfect for my two year old). Kids of all ages were allowed in the bigger pools during my stay, so that was great 3) Buffet had lots of choices for dinner and seemed to be different each night 4) Staff is incredibly friendly, especially the hostess at the buffet, wait staff at restaurants, and the housekeeping. 5) Babysitting service was utilized and was incredible! Ask for Miss Jorja. She was so warm and my children adored her. And for 17 Euro per hour for my two kids, it was well worth it. 6) We had booked a family suite, and were upgraded to the ground level in front of the swimming pool, which was excellent for having two young children. 7) It is very close to two towns, which we ventured out to see having rented a car. I would recommend going to these places and stopping at a market, as things are extraordinarily overpriced at the resort. 8) The kids club is awesome! The woman stamping it was so sweet and my son had such a wonderful time that he ended up staying way longer than we thought he would The Bad to Ugly 1) Buffet for breakfast was the same every single day 2) Buffet for dinner was way too understaffed. Items were running out constantly and the lines were crowded 3) The dress code is absurd. There is no dress code for women, but men are required to wear long pants - even for the Buffet! I have stayed in several 5 star resorts throughout the world, and those in tropical locales such as this would implement dress codes for their formal restaurants, but not for somewhere like the buffet. 4) Staff is very overworked and there are not enough, hence the lines and sometimes gruff and delayed service at the beach and pool 5) While advertised as having two bedrooms, the family suite was actually one bedroom with a daybed in the living room. This man said that we had to request a cot to be brought in because there was simply not enough room for two adults and two children. Also, the King size bed was really just two double beds pushed together which was disappointing and not really indicative of a five-star hotel. 6) We had pizza delivered from a local restaurant as the price for a large pizza was the same as a tiny kids pizza at the resort, but had to meet the delivery man at the gate as we were reminded once again that this is a five-star hotel 7) The play area for children has very old and decrepit equipment, and the grounds for it are really not taken care of.

A pretentious hotel ( 5* I think not)

We have just spent 11 nights at this resort from 2nd June to 13th June .The check in was easy we just had to have our passports photocopied fill in our home details and register a bank charge for a guarantee for charges that we would sign to our room during our stay. We were then escorted to our room and the bellhop showed where everything was and how to use the room key and air con. There were two trays with cold meats and a Greek salad for us and complimentary bottles of wine and water and a selection of fruit. The room was very well appointed with a king-size bed, flat screen TV and fitted wardrobe of a good size with adequate hangars. There were also side cabinets with draws in for smaller items. There was a safe in the wardrobe free of charge, which was accessed using a standard key, which was a bit dated and meant we had to carry it with us all the time. The bathroom had a hand basin; a WC also there was a bath with a fixed shower head and a flexible shower head. The bath was quite difficult to get in and out of as there was no handrail or slip proof mat. In the wardrobe there was also a mini bar stocked with sparkling water and soft drinks, spirits and beer were also supplied. The pool area was very clean. There were lots of sun beds either on the lawns or on the terrace The beds were of good quality and the beach staff would come and put a towelling cover on them as soon as you sat down they would also put up take down your sunshade for you. There was also a couple of small beaches with sun beds and parasols. The Poseidon pool bar served a good range of drinks and there was a waiting on service( Irene .George and Anna were very hospitable and friendly) around the pool and beach area. The main buffet restaurant The Aretoussa was very good for breakfast served between 7:15 & 10:30.Lunch was served between 12:30 & 14:00 and dinner was between 19:00 & 21:30.There was a wide variety of foods, although they could have been a little hotter. Lunch could also be taken at The Ariadne or F restaurant (although this was not open for the first few days) We did not try any of the a la carte restaurants, The Thalassa waterfront, The Dionysos , The Blue Lagoon, The Kafenion or the Argonaut as these were spread around the complex away from our room.The Sail In bar was open from 10:00 and 1:00 Johnny the head barmen was very friendly and hospitable a wait on service was supplied (Eletheria & George did a good job). There was a wide variety of drinks that were of a good standard. The Erato bar was open from 16:00 & 00:30 and offered the same service as the Wave Sail In bar. There was a singer here most nights. Room service was provided with a surcharge of €5 per visit or for the A la Carte after 16:00 €15. The staff throughout the hotel were very friendly and helpful. All in all, we had a good time but feel that but for a few minor things it could have been exceptional. 1 Some staircases and steep ramps had no hand rails 2 The drinks were pricey (€3 .50 for a soft drink/mixer. €7 for a large beer and€ 7.50 for a spirit). The mini bar was also pricey, and you had to pay for still water which I have never done in the past. This hotel is portrayed as a 5* but is no more than a 3*+. The only 5* things are the staff and the location. The bed turn down service was farcical, sometimes they would come to do this before we had even gone to have our evening meal. The rooms are a little tired and need a facelift before reaching that 5* level. The antiquated system of a safe key should be eradicated and replaced with an electronic safe. There is an air of ‘snobbery ‘at this hotel which was at times quite annoying. We would probably return to this resort, although we would have to consider the prices of things beforehand.

Horrible Service

We spent the entire day traveling only to be told that we could not go to the buffet (yes the buffet) because I didn’t have trousers. So I paid the over priced fee for a sub par room with a hose and fire extinguisher sitting directly out front of my door where my 18 month old and 5 year old can hurt themselves and then they won’t let us eat either.
