Nye solstoler ved bassenget. Lage en rampe slik at vi med handicap og eldre mennesker kan komme seg ut i vannet på stranda universel tilrettelegging

Maten var meget bra, mangler god juice til frokost.

Dem kan skaffe seg oppvarming av basseng. Vi var to voksne og to barn som badet to ganger på en hel uke i høstferien. Jeg mener det er helt forferdelig og betale så mye for en badeferie, uten å få badet omtrent. Havet derimot var mye varmere enn bassengene. Men det hjelper lite når barna ikke vil bade i havet men i bassengene. Kommer ikke til å reise hit på vår/høst tid igjen.

Flott uteområde og Kort vei til standen.

Dårlig tilgjengelighet på vann. Burde vært flasker med vann tilgjengelig, plassert rundt på hotell området og strandbar. Funker dårlig med tappekran kun få steder på området,med elendig vann kvalitet. Forventer dette på et allinclusive i denne prisklassen. Vi kjøpte vann i butikken. Elendig tilbud/aktiviteter for barn/Støre barn, her har de mye å forbedre seg på. Elendig aircondition, kun en temperatur, sluttet å virke innimellom.

Varmen. Uteområdet med tre basseng etterhverandre.

Pt altfor liten buffet i forhold til antall mennesker på all invlusive. Ingen vifter i tak eller ac i restaurant. Kokvarmt. Kalde drikker var varme fra dispensere. Utvannet øl. Utvannet juice. Ekstrem ryddementalitet i restaurant. Tok tallerkner og glass før vi omtrent var ferdig med å spise. Mye maur i leilighet og måtte kjøpe maurspray. Luktet forferdelig i timer etterpå. Reiseledere som var ansatt på hotellet fra Italia så ut som de ville være alle andre steder enn nettopp der. Mye tull og slapt opplegg. Barnediskotek var en farse. Elendig.

All incl

Bra frokost og snack ved bassenget. Lunch og middag var langt unna kvaliteten vi har hatt ved andre hoteller. Samme mat hele tiden. Ingen endring av betydning ifra dag til dag. Ellers er hotellet rent og ryddig og har gratis buss inn til Kardamena mange ganger daglig. Reiser nok ikke tilbake.

God mat, men forferdelig dårlig utvalg i drikke.

Var der en uke med kona og min søsters familie på all inclusive. Var veldig god mat til alle måltider men elendig drikkeutvalg. Ingen ordentlige barer og når jeg bestilte fin tonic fikk jeg fin og sitronbrud. Hadde uke skikkelig colaprodukter i hele tatt og kun tre drinker på menyen sin. Elendig på drikke generelt. Aldri mer.

Great Last Minute Trip

After multiple cancelled trips to other hotels, we were torn between booking this hotel and one closer into Kos, we opted for this hotel and glad we did! We contacted the hotel prior to check-in and they quickly responded answering all questions. We arrived shortly after 1pm and were greeted and checked in promptly, as we had completed check-in online, a member of staff took our bags to the room, we were booked into rooms 416 and 417 both were Standard Twin Rooms (with 3 twin beds). First impressions were great. Rooms were large, with a balcony, main area had plenty of storage for clothing etc, flatscreen TV, desk and a phone. Bathrooms had both a shower and bath and come with body and hair wash on the walls. You have to pay for the safes which were €20 for the week, which we were happy to pay as we carry a lot of photography equipment, safes were fairly small compared to other hotels, but did fit one camera and 2 lenses inside aswell as money, passports etc, the rest I had to lock into my suitcase but this wasn’t a huge issue. The maid would change towels, sheets and clean the rooms every 2 days due to COVID (normally daily). There was a minor smell of sewage around the hotel, but this wasn’t all the time and unsure if this is a hotel issue or local environment. All staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful despite being busy with new changes around the hotel (no self-service food or drinks) but still greeted with a smile everywhere you go, especially the staff in the main bar and restaurant. The young lad in the pool bar by the beach pool (in the Suites) was very friendly and taught us some Greek whilst we were there. We stayed during COVID and felt safe the whole time we were there, all staff members wore masks at all times, but guests weren’t made to wear masks unless in the shop or off-site, which we actually preferred, most guests stayed their distance and there were clear floor marking everywhere, sunbeds and outside areas were washed down every morning. There is a on-site shop which is a little overpriced but if you would to the beach (a short 3-5 minute walk) there is a hotel on your right as you exit and it’s much cheaper and sells, food, snacks, drinks, beach items and more. Food during our stay was one of the best we have had on a holiday, breakfast was very varied with, fruit, ham, cheese, rolls, toast, crepes, fried breakfast and more. Lunch’s could be a little repetitive, so we ate at the pool bar closest to the beach, this was made to order and was absolutely amazing! It would get busy between 12-1, but food was always out within 10 minutes. The burgers were really tasty. We stayed in mid-September and were surprised how quiet the hotel was, there were plenty of sunbeds all really spaced out and even at midday there were still 15+ free by each pool, no mad rush to reserve either. We spent most days in the pool by the beach as this was a lot quieter and freshwater, but the one by reception was also nice by saltwater. The hotel have improved the beach area and sunbeds are free to use (again always plenty spare), they have put sandbags in the sea as the rocks are really slippy and I actually cut my foot open multiple times on the rocks, so wear socks or beach shoes, if you follow the sandbags out to the end, there are huge schools of fish in this area and we had 9 species of fish during our stay, a great little area for first time snorkellers and only a few feet deep so safe for children. The hotel has a free shuttle bus that goes into Kardamena multiple times a day, or you can walk along the beach and it takes about 55 minutes (a flat route). We had a hire car and ordered this from the hotel reception (they have someone come in twice a day to book and return cars) we had a Citreon C1 and it was €195 for 6 days, about 500m from the hotel there is a off-site hire car company which are cheaper (we didn’t know this at the time!) The only downside during our stay was the bathrooms had a dirty feel to them, they could be updated with a new shower head, and better drainage, as after a shower the bubbles/water would come up the drain onto the floor. We only seen 3 cats during our stay and they stay out the way and don’t approach you so not a issue at all! 5*? Really!

Visited here last week just a few weeks after I visited Blue Lagoon Village which is also in Kos. The price was very similar to BLV but the standard was nowhere near. The whole feel of the hotel is not that of a 5*. One bonus is that the Spirits are all brandad although you have to drink out of paper cups!

Some good points - but some bad. A smokers paradise or nightmare if you don't.

We booked very last minute to stay at the Akti Beach and therefore didn't have time to do much research on the hotel. There are mixed views depending on which website you look at as to whether the hotel is 4 * or 5*. Even the hotel has conflicting signs. I will be picking up with Expedia but we were told we had a 5* hotel, suite with private pool. What we got was a 4* hotel, a family room and a pool shared by 9 other rooms. So we were not happy to start. Here's the good stuff: 1. The hotel has taken the Covid situation seriously. I never once felt that safety was being compromised. 2. The hotel stays were generally good. Some very nice such as the 2 ladies who work in the main bar. Some others were rude to say the least. The guy that ran the bar by the family pool and the lady who ran the toaster - both just rude. 3. Good selection of food throughout the day. 4. The 'semi private' pools were very nice. 5. Tidy, well kept grounds. Here's the bad stuff: 1. The wine is absolutely disgusting. Easily the worst wine I have ever tasted. Rose, white, or red it was totally undrinkable. 2. All soft drinks are very sweet. Coke, lemonade etc are all extremely sweet. 3. The sunloungers are the most uncomfortable you will ever lay on. I had to buy a blow up bed so that I can lay on them for more than 5 minutes without getting back ache. 4. Cleaning of our room was a bit iffy. A couple of times, the bath was still dirty. 5. There wasn't enough staff serving at meal times (this was done due to Covid). Sometimes the queue for food was long and if you needed to go to 2 different counters to get your meal, your food was often cold. Also, waiting to be served tea/coffee in the morning could take up to 20 minutes. Last big thing for me. As a non-smoker, there is NOWHERE you can go to escape the smoke. The main bar outside, whilst some of it is undercover, had no non smoking areas. Even in the restaurant, I saw people smoking,. It was totally disgusting. We couldn't sit at the outside bar due to the sheer amount of smoke. There was simply nowhere for us to comfortably sit without getting smoke in our face hence why we sat on our balcony each evening. So, overall, whilst the hotel had some good points, it's definitely NOT 5* and the smoking issue for me made it quite an unpleasant experience. Such a shame as it has some very good points.
