Meget godt hotell
Vi har tidligere bodd flere ganger på Pestana hotell, både på Madeira og i Alvor, og kommer til å gjøre det igjen. Hotell kjeden anbefales. Kjeden har hoteller på Algarve kysten, Madeira og rundt om i verden.
Kombinasjon atmosfære, service og god mat
Hotellet var utgangspunkt for golfspill på tr forskjellige baner i Alvor/Silves / Vale de Pinta området. Beliggenheten var utmerket og fungerte utmerket som vår base. Det var godt på komme tilbake til et hotell som gjorde mye for at jeg skulle trives
Flotte leiligheter rett ved stranden
Vi bodde i leilighet i en liten uke. Stort og flott, med bad til hvert rom. Vi spiste ikke på hotellet, da vi var i bryllup og det var planlagt spising andre steder. Grei avstand til sentrum, flott strand og stort basseng.
First time to stay in this hotel, 15 Irish lads in a golf trip, Top marks all round, Beautifull hotel,scenery, friendly staff,very helpful, lovely rooms,views, great selection for breakfast, great facilities, beautifull boardwalk along Sea front, into the town of alvor,where we dined in beautifull restaurants, fabulous food,very reasonable, we had a super holiday, Def goin back🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪
Disappointing Customer Service
I have been staying in the Pestana Dom Jao II hotel for the past week and am due to check out tomorrow. I have a very important business meeting to attend on-line which will start at 9 a.m. and will run over the 12 p.m. check out time. I am moving to another Pestana Hotel nearby but am unable to check in there until 3 p.m. I have nowhere private to conduct my meeting between 12 and 3 pm. I enquired about hiring a meeting room, which is advertised in the lobby area, and was told that they do not have meeting rooms to hire. I enquired about keeping my hotel room for an extra 3 hours, for which I am willing to pay, and was told that I could not have an answer on this until tomorrow, which is too late for me as I need to be guaranteed a private space before then. I asked if I could book the room for an additional night, and was told to check the web site for availability and rates. I cannot be guaranteed the same room so I might pay for the extra night but still have to move rooms between 12 and 3, which leaves me back to where I currently am, trying to get a guaranteed private space. I am really taken aback that I cannot be accommodated given that I am staying with the Pestana Hotel group for 11 days and on day 8 I am actually homeless for the three most important hours of my hole stay. Another issue I have is that I registered with the hotel as a guest member and received my membership number, which gives me a 10% discount on anything purchased in the hotel together with earned points. I have successfully used this once. On all other occasions, this was not possible because the system was down. Another issue, yesterday morning I asked at the reception if they could book a restaurant for me for last night as I was going to be out all day. I was told that they were very busy, with over 60 check-ins to look after! I would have thought that at some point during the day someone could have made a very quick phone call (5 mins) to do this, but no unfortunately not. Other than the above three issues, hence the poor rating, I am very pleased with the accommodation, location, facilities and breakfast.
