It’s alright once you’ve dealt with reception

Will try to make this one helpful as possible as my judgement is slightly clouded by a particular receptionist who I found to be quite miserable, rude and unhelpful - you’ll know who she is when you get there! We were moved here because our self catering apartment was not open from covid and unfortunately for us the hotel was not suitable for self catering (the rooms don’t have a teaspoon in them and would not let you borrow one either!) but it does seem like the all inclusive offering is decent enough other than food being a bit samey. The rooms/apartments are quite modern in decor, very clean and the cleaners were very polite and helpful but we found the beds really hard and uncomfortable (and I like a firm mattress) and there aren’t many plug sockets for your chargers (I believe our 1 bed apartment had 2). Got fairly loud in the hallways at night with other guests having had one too many all inclusive shandies but I can’t blame this on the hotel! The water slides and pool were decent but as others have mentioned, the hotel is a fair bit away from anything, you’re about a half hour walk from the main part of Protaras. The supermarket to the left (as you walk out of the hotel) and a little walk down is worth going to rather than the one right outside as it’s loads cheaper!

Not for us...

This is a though one, because I liked this hotel a lot – rooms were clean and spacious, pools were warm, staff were great, food was delicious and kids loved the waterpark. But… This hotel is in the middle of nowhere, you need to walk for miles and miles to get to a beach or a restaurant or anything, really. The view from our apartment’s balcony was of a garden wall, NOT a garden. Kids club didn’t have much to entertain children with. When we showered, water pooled on the corridor’s floor no matter how brief the shower. There wasn’t enough space around the pool (which is wedged oddly in front of the hotel, by a car park) and outside the restaurant – everything just seemed to be crammed next to each other, so not very relaxing environment. Also, parts of the water park seemed frightfully dangerous to me. Unfortunately, I just wouldn’t come back. We visited in May 2019.

Fantastic hotel and staff

I stayed at this Hotel from May 2 to May 9. Delicious food to choose from, drinks. The evening with Michael Jackson was great. Close to the beach, however, every day I chose nissi Beach, you can get to it by bus 102. Stop across the street. Return by bus 101. Very nice manager and waiter Christofer. I recommend.

This hotel has far more bad points than good. We checked in after a late flight (arriving at the hotel around 12:30am). After a long night of travelling we thought there may be sandwiches or a drink we could have upon arrival but when I asked they said no. Also the hotel is in the middle of nowhere, so you can't just nip out to get something. The hotel has no entertainment in the day, no atmosphere and no animation team (except one woman on her own who walks around unenthusiastically for around 10 mins a day) and overall it is a very boring hotel (except the waterpark). Any entertainment that is on is purely children based, there are no activities that the hotel put on for any adults. The room was nice, however a few days in we noticed loads of ants / creepy crawlies around the sofa bed which had come through due to a hole in the wall. After alerting reception, they said they would give us some bug spray and clean bedding. They never returned to give us them. A few nights in, I noticed that they were giving sandwiches around 11.30pm for late arrivals - we got absolutely nothing when we came. Snack bar is food made to order, and not once throughout the whole stay were gyros on as advertised. Also, as you've got to sit and wait for it to be ready, eating from the snack bar isn't quick. They need a lot more staff here. Waiting times for drinks were around 10-15 minutes, with only one bar ever open. The food was extremely repetitive, you knew what you was getting every night. The only positives to this hotel was the waterpark and the drinks were quite nice. Overall I'd rate this a 4/10 and would not return.
