A Great Hotel in Chania!

This hotel was an unexpected, pleasant surprise! I chose it because I'm a remote worker and needed great internet. The hotel rooms were large and well-appointed. But the staff made the experience really great. I am in hotels 20 days a month and this hotel, hands down has the best service. The location is also great. A five-minute walk from the old town lighthouse in Nea Chora but quiet and one block from the beach. My new fave!

Lovely small hotel close to both town and beach. Service is exceptional and all of the staff are super friendly and helpful. Our room was very comfortable and house-keeping did a great job, including leaving us chocolates every night! Highly recommend.

An Excellent Boutique Hotel with Fantastic Staff

We have just returned home after two and a half weeks at Chania Flair in Crete. This boutique hotel is very stylish and has a lovely roof terrace where we had breakfast for the first part of our stay. The management very generously offered us a complimentary dinner on the roof terrace and we thoroughly enjoyed the fine dining experience. Our room was large and had everything we needed – including very high-tech controls for lights, curtains etc. The staff at the hotel were, without exception, friendly, kind and helpful. When our family joined us there were six of us to attend the New Year’s Eve celebrations at the hotel which were excellent. We would love to return!

Fantastic Staff and a Great Location

From the moment you enter this hotel the staff will make you feel so welcomed. From the welcome beverage to addressing the various needs of a traveler the staff deliver incredible service with a smile! Mia and her colleagues exemplify what hospitality should be. The driver, George, is knowledgeable about the island, courteous, and such a responsbile driver. Breakfast is incredible! The view for dinner outstanding as is the food. A short walk from the hotel and you are in the old city amidst all of the excitement of Chania. I have traveled the world and I can say without hyperbole, this staff ranks at the top .

Simply extraordinary!

This hotel and its staff live up to the excellent ratings and reviews you’ll find here. Chania Flair is simply outstanding. If you’re coming to Crete and planning to stay in Chania, don’t look anywhere else. First, the staff is extraordinary – they are warm and friendly, and every interaction was a delight. The moment we arrived, we were welcomed with smiles, champagne, and hors d’oeuvres. This isn’t unusual when arriving at a good hotel, but often it’s the end of their hospitality as you become just another guest. But not at Chania Flair – this was just the beginning and the keen attention to detail and hospitality continued for our entire stay. Such five-star service was surprising for a boutique hotel in an island setting, but it honestly rivaled that of bigger name luxury properties we’ve experienced. While everyone we met was wonderful, Georgia and Marielena were especially delightful. Not only were they friendly and helpful with directions, recommendations, or getting a taxi, they also remembered us and asked about our plans or activities. The day before we left, we asked about departing, and before we could say anything more, Marielena informed us that our airport transfer was already booked for the next morning at 7:30 am and she would have breakfast boxes waiting for us (and both happened as promised). We didn't have to do a thing. Second, the hotel itself is beautiful. We stayed in a penthouse suite on the 4th floor, which is the highest room floor (with the top floor reserved for the restaurant, pool, and sunbathing areas). The room was stunning – beautifully designed and well maintained, with thoughtful details and quality finishes. It had a sauna, jacuzzi, and double shower as well as a nice, large terrace with chairs for sitting and lounging with a great view of the sea. If you can afford it, go for one of these suites. Third, the hotel restaurant was delicious. Beyond breakfast delivered to our room, we also had one dinner at the rooftop restaurant (included in our package). We were blown away by the meal – some of the best food we had during our entire week in Greece. Be sure to make time for at least one meal here. And finally, the location was great for our needs. Our room on the 4th floor had a lovely view of the sea, just over a few buildings just below. The views may not be as nice on lower floors, given proximity of other buildings. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the old town, and if we needed to go farther, the hotel staff helped us with taxis, which were great and inexpensive. The hotel has its own private beach area about a 3-minute walk from the front door, complete with lounge chairs, umbrellas, and beach towels, where we spent an afternoon enjoying the sun and sea breeze. In the same area, you’ll find a number of small dining options and a lively, seaside atmosphere. Our package also included hotel transfer, which was smooth and appreciated both coming and going. Definitely a nice perk.
