Great atmosphere but issues with noise

I loved the atmosphere of the room, it really feels like you're staying in an old souk. The room is small but comfortable and the bathroom is spacious. Staff are helpful and friendly but the check in process and waiting for someone to take you to your room was a bit of a slow process. As the rooms are dotted around in 10 different buildings you need someone to show your where to go you can find you're own way the first time. Breakfast was lovely, good selection, barista coffee and eggs made to order were nice touches. Our only complaint was the noise coming from a couple of musicians at the restaurant directly below our room (room 205). This starts around 4pm and goes til after 11pm. It was so loud it was like they were actually playing in our room. We requested to change rooms on the second night which was a slow process and we sat in the reception for 40 minutes waiting for this to be processed. The hotel should invest in some double glazing on the windows.

How nice is that !?!?!?

Fun fact first...I booked this place only as I confused it with another one ! And it was a golden handshake from destiny, as the Al Seef Heritage Hotel is an extraordinary and lovely place to stay :-) The al Seef area goes directly alongside the black water of the old Dubai creek, its the place where the magic has began 1000 years ago. Guests must understand, they will stay in old part of Dubai not in the sky scraper area. The Hotel comprises of a vast area of several buildings in the traditional arabic architecture that was set here in the past, connected by a foot walk area with little hidden corners, small shops and coffe places. Everything inside as well the exteria are designed and staged with love to detail - it really appears like an old arabic town that was preserved in the 60ies...electric cables leading from one house to another, old street lamps make a cosy light at night, doors and windows are made from wood, modern elements are hidden very well behind wooden covers. Same as the exterior, so the interior … you will find your room in one of the old style buildings, from reception you are driven there with a golf car. The rooms are equipet with everything you will expect from HILTON..but you have to look for it ! As your room looks like a place from 1960ies as well – wooden window doors, clay walls with shelves and niches for your stuff, a big tv screen that is sourrounded by a wooden frame like a painting, room telephone with dialer wheel in vintage design, and ofcourse: the bath room appears like vintage but offers all modern comfort. Looking for the inroom coffee maker ? Find the Nespresso machine hidden in a wooden box ! Depending on the place of your room, the drive with golf car is shorter or longer. Garage for your rental car is located in the basement as all this heritage area is tunneled with a garage, so as you have found out the nearest exit to your room, the car is easily to access. Breakfast is lovely as well; you will find it in one of the vintage buildings and they offer a nice choice of international buffet as well arabic cooing station. The chef was there and he walked around one morning, welcomed the guests and offered everybody a bit of the arabic delights to taste and told about the food. This was lovely ! The Al Seef Heritage Hotel is connected to the partner hotel Canopi that is also a HILTON group house, and there is a golf car shuttle service all day (and half the night) between both houses. So you can go there for dinner, gym, bar. I was flashed and impressed by all the love to detail the people have put into this gorgeous hotel concept & I can't wait until I have a reason for coming back to this place.

A true Arab staycation

Really traditional Arabic staycation and the location is really nice. And the breakfast is good that with lots of local food and local sense. But because of hotel construction that they not provide swimming pool and gym. If you want to use the gym and pool that they will move you to canopy. And the room really nice with awesome traditional style but would not have a bathtub….

Expected a bit more

Currently checked in. Got their room with the creek view. The moment we booked, we got an email about what time we were possibly checking in, and if there was any special occasion to be celebrated. That made us smile. However, checkin was still quite slow. Internet also intermittent. Room has nice touches but it’s too dark. It was also disappointing that we even had to plug the lamp (in an already dark room) to add a little light. Bathroom lighting is better - but bedroom is all mood — but guests also need light when packing, unpacking, working, etc. Buttons / controls / appliances are well-hidden (to be in theme), so that means it’s also not user-friendly - you kinda have to play with them to figure out what they’re for. Bed is comfortable. Toilet works well. PS: plus points would be their breakfast that starts at 7am and is open till 12! Perfect for people like me who always wake up late and rush for the hotel breakfast.

Low level of cleanliness and hygiene

Great concept but disappointing quality. Hygiene standards are low ( for instance worn out towels in bathroom and dusty bench / mattresses in balcony). Breakfast time till noon but post 10.30 am restaurant stops refilling items. Constant issue with hot water in bathroom
